very sad day for me .. my little 16 year old toy poodle had to be put to sleep this evening. the vet was wonderful and she drifted across the rainbow bridge painlessly . She was diagnosed with brain tumour and other difficulties recently . she was stone blind for a couple of years . This is her in all her glory a few years ago, she was a sun worshipper . got her as a miniscule sized puppy in 2009 . the house seems very empty now , You don't realise how fond you get of them until they're gone, my heart is broken

I am so sorry to hear about your loss . Dogs give us so much love . They are wonderful animals and fill our hearts with warmth . Unfortunately, their time on this earth is too short.

Aww. So sorry. Anybody that isn’t an animal lover doesn’t really understand the devastation we feel each time we lose one.

Sorry to hear that.
We have always had a rescue dog and after a suitable mourning period we have adopted another.

Good morning. Gosh, I have a lot of reading to catch up on. That will have to wait till G&T time which I'm planning for 6.00pm..............I'm hoping Mrs P will make tea. The sky is clear, the stars are still out and it feels warm and mild, a glorious day for cycling, that won't happen as I have plenty to do. At lunchtime I have a six month physio check up. I feel my knee rehab has plateaued, I have an appointment with my private physio to discuss this. Claire is lovely, providing both physical and mental support, no BS just straight to the point. After that I've got a PT session with my coach who is equally brilliant with her support both mental and physical. She's really a life coach, I wish I'd learned things she's helped me with 40 years ago.

Enough of that. Before then I've a small mountain, well OK some bits and pieces, of u3a admin to deal with. We review all our policies annually and muggins gets the job of publishing the updates on the website. I can't think of much else. I've lost 3kgs over recent months............a whole new wardrobe of clothes awaits me.................stuff I'd had to stop wearing as it really didn't fit. Exciting and much cheaper than shopping!!

I cry even thinking about the day Molly will go. Of all the pets I’ve had for some reason my bond with her is the strongest I’ve ever felt.

I've told Bruce hes got to live to at least 15.

Part of the angst with Lemmy was the young age at which he left us. He'd only just turned 8 and was otherwise in supreme condition. Id been careful feeding him and kept him well esercised and even at that age was an athlete among labradors, so to have cancer cruelly take him so young left me feeling cheated.

Still, ill meet him again one day and next time we'll never be separated.

Good morning all.
Rusty bolts......sad news. My family are cat/dog people so I have sadly seen the pain it causes.
Today....... I have an Aldi dash followed by a relaxed day.
Legs are feeling better after a bad week so the treadmill will feel loved again.
Out for a meal this evening to celebrate the SiLs birthday. Its not till Monday but that was difficult for some to be there.
Have a good day all.
