Someone mentioned local honey a few days ago. We get ours from a bloke who was at school with one of our sons who has a number of hives in our suburb.
I mentioned it originally then it was (i think) Kev that highlighted the benefits as against the big store type.
So yesterday I got a jar from a local farm where they have hives. At £5.50 for a good sized jar i thought it was reasonable.
did a bit of gardening this morning, moved a climbing rose [leaping salmon] from a falling to bits planter into a new gurt big planter. Think it will grow and flower well now especially as i mixed into the compost horse manure/seaweed compost/bone meal and in the spring will give it a couple of handfulls of grow more.
