Have a smartphone app for my van. Can unlock the van, can control the alarm, monitor vehicle health, etc.

Anyway, the app has updated and I've again had to go through the security rigmarole again, including taking a selfie for ID.

The selfie wasn't working, kept telling me to try again. Then the penny dropped- slapped on a cloth cap, and all was well.

Turns out the glare from my chrome dome was upsetting the system!

Hi folks its 1.50 am and cant sleep..drunk too much coffee i reckon... Have been browsing Thorns website and rather disappointed with the new updated Mercury, i havent got all the facts yet but at first glance it seems Thorn has narrowed its range and the Mercury has become a 'do it all' bike covering the role of other models hmm dont like the sound of that. Comes in only 2 colours- boring grey and a loud orange, neither of which i would choose and if laying out over 4k i would expect a range of nice colours. I wanted to own a Mercury one day as it ticked all my boxes..the new model doesnt and looks like im back to the drawing board.
Okey doky will try to get some shut eye as ive just had my antidote to too much coffee..and thats another cup of coffee!

Good morning all.
Woke up at 05.15 so I went downstairs, let the dog out and made some tea. Now I'm wide awake.
Today is fridge cleaning day. There are strange things growing in there that need removing.
Sainsbury's are delivering the Christmas goodies this afternoon, whatever they can't deliver, it gives us a chance to find them elsewhere.
Only a few days more and all the madness will be over for another year.😁

Coooeeee. I've been awake for ages so I decided to get up and have a cup of coffee. I'm sitting here with my heated throw. It's lovely.

I HAVE a 2016 Mercury with Rohloff which has 853 tubing on 622 wheels. I like it very much.
The new version has the Thorn 858 tubing which translates as .8 mm at the ends and .5 mm in the centre of the tubes.
Our 2012 Thorn tandem has aThorn 969 tubing.
The Mercury frame specs do seem to be down graded.

Morning. Crap sleep as I had the weird nerve pain I get in my foot every now and again.

I’m seriously thinking about giving the carnivore diet a try, at least for 3 months to see how I feel. I’ve been bingeing a channel on YouTube with a guy that’s done hundreds of interviews with people all over the world that have lost massive weight, reduced inflammation, reversed diabetes, cured back pain. Even some who say it shrunk cancer tumours.

Good morning. It's still dark but the weather seems benign. AWOL yesterday as we undertook some serious grandparenting. Five year old Sunday and Monday joined by the two year old on Monday. We went swimming, then lunch out at a local garden centre with a brilliant Christmas display that the kids loved and very effectively removed cash from Granddad's bank account!! Singing penguins, snowmen, a giraffe, reindeer and numerous dogs and puppies......the kids had the most wonderful time. We returned them to their parents needing a complete recharge!!!

Tuesday is usually #3SP day but one of my son's friends unexpectedly offered to have her. I must say this is a relief as we have a lot to do. The house is a chaotic tip, ironing, cleaning etc. I very bravely did "the shop" last night. How does this work? Every Christmas I'm told oh and get some "nice biscuits" and some "nice crackers" and I'd like some "nice olives".................more information is required. WTF is a nice biscuit? I love a Tunnocks wafer but this doesn't seem appropriate??????

Right I must crack on. Izzy wizzy, lets get busy. Probably back for elevenses
