Bonjour et Joyeux Noel.
Everyone is still in bed at the moment as we are all adults in the house so no rush to open presents.
I video called my three brothers last night before they sat down for their Christmas meal as it is always done on Christmas eve in France.
One of them had 28 guests round the table !!

Looks a lovely day but cold and windy. Don't think I'd be riding even if it's wasn't Xmas Day.
Today will be usual Xmas madness, food, drink, squabbles....

I walked Bruce down into Brackmills where its lower down and more sheltered, but up here on the hill that wind is nasty.

Minor panic yesterday - my wife's son asked if we could go round there about 12 because they have to be at her parents' for 1 for dinner

WHAT??
in our opinion her Mum is playing the "your dad is ill (he really is" so we have to stay at home and everyone has to do it my way" card

she is nice and we get on well - but she can be a bit weird at times
but both side of the family have normally done the "dinner at about 3ish sort of thing

hence we normally go round to their house between 12 and 1 and see the kids and give them presents and all that
and the rest of her family normally do the same
then everyone goes home for dinner


anyway - late last night it was all changed to then coming here between 11 and 11:30 then going to her Mum's for dinner

so we are all sorted and I'm not driving anywhere

so where did I put that beer????

Morning folks i shall be doing what i normally do today, though i do have a very large and heavy parcel to open from my friend in somerset, whats in it! its been sat in my living room for a week and ive gotten used to the intrigue seems a shame to end it i hope its a load of dvds and maybe chocolate so's i can stuff myself whilst watching something new

I wore my Christmas waistcoat down to breakfast and a chap come up to me while I was waiting for the toast to finish and asked " did you want to see my room card? ". I must look like one of those sophisticated French waiters 😁
