Coooeeee. 5 deg here

I'm quite good when it comes to biscuits and sweets now. And I can take 4 jaffa cakes out of the packet and leave the rest for the next day. At one time I would have scoffed the lot. As for chocolate I can take just a couple of pieces to eat and leave the rest. My family think I'm weird being able to do that.

That's because you are!!

I do remember - when I was a teenager - the 3 of us that grew up together - were sitting around in John's house and he offered us a bit of Easter Egg

This was about August

Shaun and I looked at each other and said something like WHAT?????

he went to a cupboard and in it he had 2 EasterEggs - and offered us about a square inch each!!

I mean - who has Easter Eggs left over after about Easter Monday!!!

He was always weird - all his toy cars were in pristine condition and he kept them in their original boxes - Shaun and I had more cars - but they were wrecked and the boxes went in the bin the day we got them

Retrieved a give way sign from a verge while walking Bruce. Lord only knows where it came from. Have emailed Highways and invited them to collect it next time they have someone passing.

Ive never ever not eaten the whole packet of jaffa cakes!
Im a very dubious about a total carniverous diet wouldnt that be artery clogging... search long enough online and someone will recommend eating tin tacks on toast... Lots of fruit n veg for me [but then im 99% vegetarian]. :okay:
They can't seem to agree on what type of bread you should use for your toast though.

Sad news, Brigitte Bardot, almost every schoolboy's dream, and possibly a few girls as well, during the 50's 60's and 70's, has died.

Yes, I heard that.
She certainly was beautiful. When I was 14 (1960) I had a job delivering medicine from the chemist to the foreign ships at Birkenhead docks. I recall, on one occasion delivering to a cargo ship from Africa and the crew were sat around chanting her name......it was Brigita Bardot Bardot (and repeat over and over)......all to a poster of the woman pinned to the wall.
Pity she went IMO a bit weird in later life.

I remember it well. There was a pop song dedicated to her in the 60's.

Mrs D not good today, her legs aren't working properly. Theres nowhere she needs to go so Dr Drago MD has prescribed a says bed rest cuddled up to the puppy with the tv remote within easy reach.

Meanwhile Ill give my van a clean.

Does she take plenty Vitamin D? Some reports of people taking high doses and their MS symptoms being a lot better.

Back from a ride - it was not so cold today so no ice

I did get "just a bit" lost - took a right turn that was not the intended one
should have know the bloody gret Manchester Ship Canal was in the way and I should have gone over the big steel swing bridge before turning
but I didn't

Anyway - went along this road - which became an unpaved road - which became a very bumpy trail
eventually I decided I had better turn round as I had no idea where I was and Google Mps said there was a long way to go to loop round

when I got home and looked at STrava it turned out that I had gone round in most of a circle
and if I had carried on for 10 minutes I would have got back to the start of the trail and known where I was

and no - I don't know why I didn't look at that earlier!!!

I did find the Dinky Cafe Boat and had a nice cuppa and cake

they now seem to know my name - is this a good thing??
