Evening folks :okay: its wickedly cold out there...i took the bins out and got freeze dried! I check wind direction when i walk the beach and choose the best route so its hitting my back rather than an icy blast of sand/sleet right in the face, did see a jogger running straight into it today though
Bikes on the turbo....and will be for the next week or two.

Tbat brings back memories of our Sunday morning runs. Every week it was the 08:20 chain ferry across to Studland and head along the beach before heading up and over the Purbecks. Glorious in summer but the 2.8 miles into the wind along studland beach was not so pleasant in February, especially if the tide was in and we were pushed up into the soft sand at the top of the beach. Layering was the answer but I remember not being able to feel my chin.

@PeteXXX we do indeed have a big moon. I have left it late though and it way over to the west and very low.
Got this photo though.

On a side note, strangely the car is not frozen over, weird that.

Good morning from a cold Dorset. Mrs Tkk has managed to get on her regular Yoga class. This time of year is always a bit of a nightmare for the regular attendees as it's swamped with new members on their New Year's resolution fitness program.
I will spend an hour or so collating and looking over last year's energy usage / solar etc. The Thermal camera I borrowed was very useful and quite fun to use, found a leaky seal at the top of the back door among ( many ) other things. I may well get my own if I can find one at a decent price.

I have risen!

There was a very fine dusting of snow when I got up for a week about 3am, but all gone now.

You got up for a week at 3am.....time flies when you're having fun.
You must have the same predictive text goblin that I have.
I sent my Bro a message yesterday to tell him about the supermoon. He messaged back asking why he should be interested in superman !!

Morning all :hello:

Black as yer 'at out there this morning!
We are situated at the very end/ start of the Quantocks and it looks like snow is in the air. We'll probably get all, or nothing, as usual.
Yay! 'Tis Fish Friday - off down to the harbour later.

Good morning. Clear skies, chilly and a touch of frost. We had a very bright moon last night, lit up the room around 3.00am, but not large. Does this qualify as a superman? oh shoot, quick edit.......superman!

Mrs P has treatment today. I'll drop her off and head straight to the gym. My exercise and diet have both slipped badly over the last few days. It always happens. I'm quite well disciplined over Christmas and then lose my grip. It's boredom, comfort food. I always enjoy Christmas, the few days before and Boxing Day. Then I want it over and back to normal but everything is in a strange state of limbo........I get really bored with that.

So today will be gym, supermarket for fresh veggies, ironing, a walk and some admin.

It's raining so I have postponed my run while I have another coffee. Bin day today, it is usually Tuesday but the holidays have skewed it somewhat and it will be back to normal collection day in a couple of weeks.A couple of jobs around the house but nothing much else planned.

Careful Dirk. Take it from me, there is nothing more painful than having frozen quantocks.
