A long story as a short as possible.
I am linked into the Friends of Peelhall Park. There was/is a group of them doing a cleanup this morning.
One of them sent an S.O.S message for help as he had taken ill.
No-one answered so I messaged to say I was on the way.
Threw my coat, hat, gloves and trainers on. Grabbed my strollator and was off through the snow. By the time I got there someone else had made it and all was well.........BUT........ as I was making my way there a young woman came running past me IN SHORTS AND A BIKINI TOP !!!!......unbelievable, not to say stupid.

I had a light brunch of porridge with mixed fruit followed by fruity yogurt.
Tea will be sheperds pie.

Potato & Leek soup, from a sachet, for lunch. Probably a banana and a tangerine, too.

A chilly run ( fortunately I was wearing both thermal tracksters and a pair of Welshies bloomers that she was kind enough to donate ) else it might have turned into one of Mo's " chilly willy" events 😁
Lunch of porridge with banana and dates chucked in before microwaving, followed by a packet of Walkers Lea and Perrins Worcester Sauce flavour crisps.

I've seen several runners in shorts this weekend. Bonkers. Yesterday a lady riding a gravel along the towpath. It was a beautiful day but not for shorts.

I've always understood longs are as much about keeping the muscles warm and circulation going as keeping the rider warm.

Ten minutes before we usually leave for Rovers heavy snow started to fall. It will be heavier in Blackburn. My money is on us getting in, sat down and the referee calling off the match.
