Started young, and still going.

Barnet,
Walk done and just finished a plate of scrambled eggs with mushrooms. That’s probably the excitement for the day.

We had scrambled eggs on toast, topped with smoked salmon for brickie.
We have been researching flights to Costa Rico for December this year. MrsP wants to go to the rain forest wildlife watching. She has found a company that does what she wants to do.
Spending the kids inheritance. 😁

Salut.
Nice day here and I tested my eyesight this morning and pleased to report I can do the 20 metres reading of a number plate regulation so I will be able to drive again tomorrow.
The kitchen fitter is doing well and hope to have it finished on Tuesday. He will be working all day tomorrow but have Monday off as he has a Doctor's appointment.
I will ba glad to have the house back although I am very well looked after by stepson and DiL.

You gotta love cyclists. All the chat is about TDF - Chorley is very excited. So the chat has moved on. Reform swept to power on LCC about 18 months ago - a huge swing. That sets the scene.

It's going like this. Who pays for the roads? Is it TDF? No, it'll be LCC Highways. But LCC is Reform, they hate cyclists. But LCC may not exist by then. Why? Local government reorganisation. Oh! That's why those Labour lot on Chorley BC have cancelled the May elections. They're scared. No, they haven't decided yet.........and so it goes on and on and on..........I'm just watching........politics and cycling don't mix. 🤣

Right - just come back from a ride
normal loop but backwards

slight incident half way round as the chain came off and jammed itself down the back of the chain ring

Easier to get back on that normal - because the chain guard has separated into 2 bits - it does that at the slightest application of force - which is good because it goes back together OK and prevents actual damage
But the gears were a bit slow after so I reckon they have carp in there somewhere and need cleaning!

BY PURE CHANCE I discovered the Dinky Cafe Boat at Marina Village on the way back - lovely gluten free school cake and the owners were curious about how it tasted as GF cakes are always a bit dodgy
but if they are the only cakes you can eat then they are great!!!
I told her - truthfully - that they are the best I have had anywhere!

I think I can keep you entertained all day.

My Buddy: "when can you ride?"
Paul: "Sat, Sun, Mon, Wed"
B: "I was thinking of an early start and the Trough"
P: "Great. Weather is better on Wednesday so let's go to the Trough then"
P: "I still want to ride Monday though"
B: "No, I meant an early start and ride to the Trough for the TDF"
P: "That would be an early start!!"

We've decided to try again tomorrow

I popped out just for another 40 minute wander. Took a notion for Kiwi fruit so nipped into the Co-op and got some.

I know it’s early, but I’ve stuck my pj’s on already.
