Confession time!!
I went back to bed at 0700. Had 2 hours solid kip and feel better for.it.

Now........I am off to the pub at 10.00.......that's right 10.00 !!!
I read that they have some sort of social thing on, its called Chatterbox. Free tea/coffee and biscuits.
I imagine they are all old gits like me
Daughter suggested I go with Simon, my neighbour/friend but I think that if I do we will just sit at a table and talk to each other
So, decent clobber on and a good dose of aftershave and I am off.
Wish me luck.

Good luck, and, enjoy, whatever you are upto 😊

Good morning afternoon. It's a #3SP day. She is sound asleep on my chest, I confess I may have dozed off as well. What a difference a week makes! Last week managing a couple of staggering steps, today walking properly and climbing stairs.

I only saw the tail end of this as word spread rapidly round the village. Directly overhead last night. This is about 300 yards from our cottage. Not my picture.

Salut.
I will be moving back into my own house tonight as the kitchen fitter will be finished, although not entirely as he needs to order a few things for the walls but the kitchen itself is a working kitchen.
Mrs G won't like that as she expected it to be 100 % finished.
Our daughter in Devon is making good progress. She has been diagnosed with a chip in her pelvis so only time will cure it. Mrs G is staying with her until daughter is mobile again and can look after herself as she lives alone.

I wish.
Told my daughter i have a sign to hang around my neck, it says 'women wanted'.

That's greedy, you just need the right one. Good luck. I am not qualified to give advice in such matters

Cycle to Screwfix for a replacement PIR switch/ detector thing. To replace a failed unit at the bottom of the garden.
Then install said item. Then wait for dusk to set the light level. Or is there some other way?

Well the project was going spiffingly until I realised that I'd installed the detector before I built the shelves.
So, after I'd removed the stuff on the shelves and then removed the shelving I could get at the junction box, then i found my wiring job of 10 years ago.
This is a bodge that doesn't comply, but it is safe.
A dog's breakfast of wires, no labels and one neutral wire dangling in space. Maybe that's why it doesn't work?
The dangling neutral emerges after various tests as a totally uncommitted neutral. The lines are now photographed and labelled.
Now, the kettle is boiling, a cup of the Earl and a bit of fruit cake are justified.
Why? Because I've managed to install the new PIR switch and everything is good and working
Even tidied the shelves.
