Good morning. The forecast widespread ice hasn't happened. I've noticed the Met Office forecast accuracy been very poor in recent weeks. It's a lovely day 4⁰

With ice being forecast we delayed the ride meet time to 10.30. My luck with cycling in January has been shite. I will say no more than this. Next I'm going to make my porridge and prepare cycling snacks, drinks etc. At 9.00 I'll go to the garage and bring the bike down to the house.

With luck at 9.45 I will mount the two wheeled machine and attempt to make it move forward in an upright position for 60+ miles. 🤞🤞

Morning folks :okay: will be taking the bike off the turbo this morning  and going for a ride! The weather has been carp for weeks with really strong winds, the sand has been removed from the beach by huge waves and is now just rocks though thats good for looking for fossils.
I hope i havent lost too much fitness from enforced sofa lounging  the hills will tell me....

Yes, memorable for me for all the wrong reasons. Mrs P went ahead to buy tickets. I wandered in to discover she was being sold today's "special offer." Joint membership for +/- £130. I objected, words were exchanged. Mrs P declared we would use it a lot and it was great value and we would get free parking in lots of places

This simmered throughout the vist, coming to the boil at one point.

The membership remained unused for the year and wasn't renewed. I have never mentioned this again.........but haven't forgotten!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Ha!
MrsMikeIOW bought our annual pass in Wales last year whilst I was going up Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa. She baulked at the £18 entry and decided we could use an annual pass, so paid the £160 instead 🤪

In our defence….we have visited around TWENTY properties since then, so definitely getting our moneys worth.
We make a point of looking places up when on our way anywhere.
Also handy on the IOW for multiple beach visits to Compton, which is a NT car park!
Rumour has it she will renew. After 3 years you get it £30 off….
