Ha!
MrsMikeIOW bought our annual pass in Wales last year whilst I was going up Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa. She baulked at the £18 entry and decided we could use an annual pass, so paid the £160 instead 🤪

In our defence….we have visited around TWENTY properties since then, so definitely getting our moneys worth.
We make a point of looking places up when on our way anywhere.
Also handy on the IOW for multiple beach visits to Compton, which is a NT car park!
Rumour has it she will renew. After 3 years you get it Ā£30 off….
Not sure if it's still the case but NT Scotland membership was cheaper and the pass is valid in English properties. Some enterprising individuals even joined NT New Zealand which you could do online.

Nice wander around Lydeard Hill.
Good views out towards Brean and the new Hinkley Point nuclear power station.

Pleasant lunch at the Carew Arms - wild mushroom, garlic and blue cheese ciabatta with skinny fries - washed down with a pint of Black Bear 'Nanook'.
Need a nap now...

I'm catching the No 14 bus soon (13:45)

I wonder if the middle aged man wearing a Wild West sherrif's star will be on it today.
I was quite impressed with his 'Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy' ringtone, too!

Nice to still see some real characters. Not so many around these days.

A later than usual morning wander done. I just made up a route of nearly 5 miles around the town and nipped into the Co-op for a couple of things on the way home.

Dry and bright with some sunshine. Makes you feel so much better when it's like this.

Mo, do you have a co-op card ? I have just ordered one but have no idea what the discounts are like.
I have an Tesco card and they give decent discounts but only on certain items. TBH I hardly ever go as Aldi is much easier to get to.

Tesco cards do appear to give decent discounts

until you look at the same thing in ASDA and fine they often just drop it to the same price as ASDA!!

there are some exceptions - but a lot are not

As far as ASDA cards go - I have been getting quite a bit from there recently
I seem to have amassed a "reward" of 40p!!

on top of which apparently 10p of it will expire soon
but I can;t use it until it is over £1

I think maybe ASDA only want the data and have given up on the incentives!

We joined NT. Stayed in for 2 years and made good use of it. But once you've seen everything in striking distance that's it. One of them is about 20 miles away and made a good target on some of my rides.
