I plan to be in and out of Ikea like the SAS storming an embassy. No fannying around, no prisoners.

Good luck!!!

I have only bee to 2 IKEAs (is that the plural??)

The Warrington one was horrendous and forced you to wind your way around the whole place
until I discovered that you could go in "through the out door" and go direct to the warehouse
and then I discovered the (at the time) secret doors that allowed short cuts for staff

But the one in Ashton-U-Lyne was on several floors and you could go direct to the bit you wanted

so I presume it varies and has improved over time

In today's news..... my daughter has landed a dream job.
She is gradually building her reflexology things up but she has to cater for when clients want the appointments.
Anyway, they have put thier house on the market and the estate agent offered her the job as 'viewing agent' which means taking people around the various properties for sale.
2 days a week, hours to suit. Looks good.

I've never been to IKEA.
My phone is updating 30 apps, I didn't know I had 30 apps on my phone.
I have a parcel from Evri today, yet I ordered it from Amazon, when did they start doing that.

Evri are just a delivery firm and will delivery anything for anyone who pays them (assuming it is legal one assumes!)
Amazon farm out some things
I suspect that means it is not coming from one of their own warehouses

We have had this a few times

Good morning. Bright and breezy. The Met Office said rain all day. They really have struggled with the forecast throughout January.

Dreadful sleep last night. I've basically been awake since 2.00am........ and I don't drive a truck. I've just managed a 40 minute doze followed by a shower. Off to collect #2 son for the footie. Without him I wouldn't bother to go. 4 wins at home in 21 games in the 12 months since Ismael was appointed. His predessor, John Eustace, took his new club, Derby County, into 6th last night with a 5 - 0 away win. 😪😪😪

So - Met Office saya Rain all day but it wasn;t raining and the drive and road were dry

Looked out the back and the sky was full of cloud - but it was high and light grey - didn;t look like rain

told SWMBO that I was going for a ride but as I was saying it I looked out of the front windows and the clouds were much darker

anyway - I'd said it so I went anyway

basically cold damp and lots of puddles and mud

nearly lost the canal cafe boat - they said they would be at Marina Village so I went to their normal place but they were a bit further down and on the other side
They had gluten free victora sandwich cake - they always do the best GF cake I have had so far!!!

anyway - got home and 5 minutes later it started raining - damn good timing I reckon!

Garden has been tidied after the fence was fixed. Two dog walks walked with Bonnie the Bischon & Teddy the bonkers Cockerpoo as i couldn't let them out in the garden to terrorise the fence fixers.

Snooze has been snoozed 💤 👌

Daughter visited for a chat, coffee & to collect Teddy.
