Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

You okay? Not the best of days.
Guess who got back from IKEA and promptly collapsed?
I'm alright thanks Lance, just a bit shaken.
Got home, unloaded the car. Felt a bit wobbly but ignored it and a few minutes later the whole world span and I'm on the carpet. Not unconscious, but not with it either.
Mrs D managed to get me on the sofa, and having taken time to check the ABC's suddenly had a lighbulb moment. She got her old pin prick diabetic testing kit and gave me a test, blood sugar 2.6, dangerously low. This is despite eating a heary IKEA breakfast just two hours prior.
A call to NHS 111 was followeds by a journey to Hossy. The think I am diabetic, but weirdly possibly type 1 which is unusual for a gent my age. I've had better days and a lot of what they were saying didn't register. Discharged with orders not to drive (thats a hardship - not) a list of instructions re diet and exercise. I'm ok for the short term, days or weeks, but need longer term investigation and management so got to check in with the GP on Monday to get the ball rolling for that.

Proof positive that going shopping (for anything except Bicycles), particularly to IKEA, is bad for your health 😂
Get well soon
