We have blue tits round here - I see them in the garden quite often

The bloke next door has some bird boxes up - one in the tress behind the houses and a few years ago I saw some blue tit coming and going
then I saw a Spotted Woodpecker there and that was the end of the blue tits!!!
the hole was enlarged as well so I assume the woodpecker found the tits and pecked his way into the box

before that I didn;t know those woodpeckers attacked small birds!

Aye, cold weather at the nudist beach will do that.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Odd fact that i have only just learned after being on this planet for nearly 70 years.

People often don't know whether to use tin foil with the shiny side up or down. The shiny side is only created by the rollers as it is fed through when it is being made. There is absolutely no difference how you use it, although I do think if you have the shiny side out it reflects the heat whereas if you have the shiny side down it absorbs the heat better I think, but experts say it doesn't matter which way you have it.

Another piece of useless information from yours truly

Agree with the physics determination but must point out the definition of experts!

Night night all .
Hope you have all had a good day , sailing went well for me . Comfortable mid fleet position on a day that didn’t suit me or my boat . Managed to launch, race and recover my boat with out any humour bypass, so all is well with the world. The company and the wine were as good as always . Plus Mrs exlaser manage to win the race on the very last leg of the race so all was good in our house this evening . 😀
Sleep well everyone.

Good morning, yesterday felt like a Monday for some reason🤔Mrs Tkk is heading into Poole for a pre procedure blood test this morning and I may well go with her as there's a couple of things I need to do in town. We had a warning of snow overnight but it's just damp and grey and 6 degrees, at least we're two days into the shortest month and March will be with us before we know it ☀️
My experiment in keeping the whole house at 21 degrees 24/7 in January has come to a close, the upstairs bedrooms were a bit warmer than that due to some of the downstairs heat rising, and the box room / office with the dehumidifier for drying clothes was up to 23/24 in a drying session. Now dropped to 20 degrees for February to see if dropping the temperature by one degree does indeed save 10% in energy use as claimed.
Have a peaceful day folks ☀️

Barnet,
Morning all.
Now, what shall we do today?
There are Pool bikes at midday, that was a good workout last week, lots of exercises and stretching using the water as resistance. Then a walk along the coastal path to the next bay.
That's enough exertion for one day I think. It's our last full day, here, tomorrow we return to the cold and wet.
