Odd fact that i have only just learned after being on this planet for nearly 70 years.

People often don't know whether to use tin foil with the shiny side up or down. The shiny side is only created by the rollers as it is fed through when it is being made. There is absolutely no difference how you use it, although I do think if you have the shiny side out it reflects the heat whereas if you have the shiny side down it absorbs the heat better I think, but experts say it doesn't matter which way you have it.

Another piece of useless information from yours truly
I have just made fish pie for tea. I'm off now to assess if my kitchen foil application is up to scratch. I will report back........

My thoughts, I done sea kayaking, I have done sit-on-top so I though I would have a go at paddle boarding
as it looked differant and being it is inflatable and could carry it on my back I maybe able to go places
where kayak/sit-on-top would be a pain.
As I didn't need loads of equipment to go with the board as I already had it, so it was just the board I had to pay for.
Just hope we have a hot summer to enjoy it.

I didn't realise they were inflatable, I thought they were rigid like surfboards.
I see your point.

Last commutes on saturday (posted here ; https://www.cyclechat.net/threads/your-ride-today.173254/page-2357#post-7573084).

And yesterday celebrated my retirement with a wander around Cambridge and the odd pint of Adnams Old Ale in the Cambridge Blue.

Good morning, yesterday felt like a Monday for some reason🤔Mrs Tkk is heading into Poole for a pre procedure blood test this morning and I may well go with her as there's a couple of things I need to do in town. We had a warning of snow overnight but it's just damp and grey and 6 degrees, at least we're two days into the shortest month and March will be with us before we know it ☀️
My experiment in keeping the whole house at 21 degrees 24/7 in January has come to a close, the upstairs bedrooms were a bit warmer than that due to some of the downstairs heat rising, and the box room / office with the dehumidifier for drying clothes was up to 23/24 in a drying session. Now dropped to 20 degrees for February to see if dropping the temperature by one degree does indeed save 10% in energy use as claimed.
Have a peaceful day folks ☀️

You will keep the house warmer if you wrap it in tin foil, shiny side in of course.
Oh, dont forget to leave a hole for your front door.
No need to thank me

Good morning, back again. My fish pie is cooling in the porch, shiny side up........made a hell of a mess when I turned it over.......

Anyway, my bike is in the yard, loaded and ready to go. I'll get my kit on shortly and head out at 8.45. We have a 52 miler today which I'll knock up to 65 with out and back. That should be my 100km for the February challenge.

A builder is trying to get an enormous 4 x 4 and 10' trailer up our back street. He gave up halfway past Mrs P's car, the smallest and narrowest. Mrs P's car blocked in, so I took a photo and wandered off. He's spent 25 minutes - so far - trying to reverse out while the school run is driving in. Absolute chaos out there!!!!

There's stupid and then there's special stupid!!

Morning all :hello:

Got to go to the bakers, the Post Office and the CoOp this morning.
When I get back, I'll fit the tow bar to my mower and, if it stays dry, may even have a quick whizz around my front lawn.
Don't upset the neighbours.........🤣

I haven't forgotten that someone owes me 10 quid from 30 years ago.
I won't be chasing it up as the guy is terminally ill and lives 200 miles away.
I think I'd remember if 75 grand suddenly appeared in my account.
