Going from a Pixel 8 to a Pixel 10. I don't like change me.

Which means the old one will be for sale.

Now maybe but back in 1960 !!!
My 1st 1 week cycling trip in 1962 was north Wales.
We slept rough eg farmers barns etc. I must have enjoyed it as its stuck in my memory. Maybe not!

Same year!, myself, my cousin and a school friend cycled to Brampton (Cumbria) for a weeks camping trip 😂

When I waw a teenager we'd think nothing of riding a 60 mile route d trip,without food or drink, to watch the planes at Luton Airport.

Vanessa Feltz trashing cycling and cyclists on LBC yet again. Jeez, this country is so backwards sometimes.

Haven’t knowingly seen her for a few years, but, unless things have changed, a bit of cycling would improve her significantly.

Back home after a very busy weekend away with one thing or another.
Went to see Peter Kaye Saturday night, very good.
Wet here today (who'd have thought) so after catching up on a few chores it's turbo I think.

A guy in cycling club says when he raced they used to train by riding 50 miles on a tough route with no food or water. Seems crazy now.

Friend of mine used to be a Nissan tech and used to service Vanessa Felch's car. Says shes a bit of an arse, so I wouldnt sweat it,

Console yourself in the fact she discovered her toy boy was dipping his wick elsewhere.

The thing about food and water confuses me

When I pick the grandson and his cousin up from school - all the kids have a water bottle
which has probably been refilled during the day

but when I was at school that just didn;t happen
I remember when I was at secondary school, I had a flask of coffee for lunch time and that was it
I had a few sandwiches for lunch and maybe a biscuit or two

but the idea of having a big water bottle for the day was just unknown


and when I went out on my bike - I just went out on it
only things I took was was waterproof if it looked like it might rain or get cold

and I would be out all afternoon


Things are probably better like it is now - but sometimes I think that if the kids today knew what we used to do they would wonder how we survived!!

Do you remember when a MURDER-DEATHKILL CLASS 1 WEATHER ANNIHILATION EVENT was simply rererred to as a "summers day"? Lord onky know knkws how we survived the summer of '76 without dire apocalyptic warnings and weather phenomenon being given names like,e Ernie and Bert.
