Just got a letter from the Counsel

Starting on 10th March they are resurfacing the main road past our estate
(Housing estate - we do not live in a mansion and I was not arrested today)

anyway - About Bloomin' Time

basically half way along the road there used to be a golf course - which closed due to Arsenic from chemical works dumping it there years ago

and then it got taken over by a company bringing in lorry loads of gravel, soil, rocks and all sorts and storing it on the old course
then selling it and taking it away again in the lorries

hence - a lot of very heavy lorries
which broke up the road a lot

this has now stopped
but the road has been broken up by the lorries and patched up several times a year since I moved in over 10 years ago

and it has just been patched up again in bits

but we all know what it is like on a bike - little bits and piences of patches on a road are a right pain
and the bits that were "not quite bad enough to patch up yet" were fine for cars but felt like a pothole on a bike
Plus a lot of it was more like gravel than tarmac!!!

so they are finally sorting it out!!!

funnily enough I have been thinking of moaning to the counsellors about it for a few months but not got round to it

but it does mean a long route to get into town for a week or so

and as there is no details of future road works on the counsel website - I have no idea if the cycle path will be closed as well

but should help a lot once it is done

I played many rounds of golf there. To think that my balls have been in your fish pond. The mind boggles.

I have never had quorn
Neither have I.

Its Thursday so Weekly shop day at the supermarket for me.
Was surprised by the cashier. "you shouldn't buy the lamb mince at that price, way too expensive"
To be fair I hadn't actually looked a the price and maybe 7 quid for 500g is expensive. Googled when I got home and nope 14 quid per Kg is fairly standard.
Did a hour on the turbo, then spent the rest of the day very windy due to a protein bar.

Cooking Shepherds pie?

Neither have I.

Give it a whirl!
Shepherds Pie, lasagne, spaghetti bol….add the saucy flavours/spices, it’s great!
How about paneer? Makes a great curry 💪

Another late night for us (yet more excellent comedy, although a Crafternoon with Carol did lead to me having to make something🤪), so catching up with the curling now….
Night all!
