Morning folks wet n windy here boo Much interest in the nest boxes from the sparrows but still hope for a wren in the box with smaller entrance hole.

I expect theres a special place in hell for cyclists I appreciate my turbo as it keeps my fitness through the winter but if i ever get to love it i'll be pedalling in a 'secure facility'

Thankfully it brightened up so I got a walk done with nothing more than a couple of very short showers.

Morning

Weighed myself this morning

I do not understand weight
well - I do - it is mass and the effect of gravity on it

but I have changed nothing and I have not been on a diet - pretty much eat the same sort of things every day

about a week ago I was 91.2 kg - which is the lowest I have been since I started doing it in kg
it is normally 92 or 93 point something

today it was 93.5

that is an increase in 2.3 kg in a week with zero changes in what I do

this is why I have never "gone on a diet" - how can you tell if it is working or if you just were heavier/lighter that day??

Dogs sniff anywhere that another dog has been.
Poo bags, once it has been used and picked up the offending poo can be used as a hand warmer until such time as a bin is found and the bag deposited into it.😁

I thought the standard was to pick up the poo with it and then leave it on the nearest garden wall????

As I have said before - on my normal ride I go past a concrete base where there used to be a bin maintained by the local community
the base is about 1 inch above the ground
and is constantly covered in poo bags
I presume the "thought" is that "there used to be a bin there so there should be a bin there so I am entitled to behave as if there IS a bin there

which is annoying!

Bonjour. Just got up, had a shower and some breakfast. Feeling weak and bowels still not working properly. I must have caught a bug from somewhere.
Taking Molly for a walk shortly and also have a trip booked for the tip. Could have done without that today really.
Molly is so good. She can feel I am not 100% and she stays by my side all the time. Dogs are wonderful companions.

When I had a dog she was weird
I know dog-owner and all that
anyway - she was VERY particular about where she pooed and weed - basically my garden and my Mum and Dad's garden were fine
anywhere else was just no acceptable

which is quite convenient for an owner

anyway - one day we went round the normal morning walk - around the local roads checking on smells and possible impending major conquests by the local cats
she was getting a bit jumpy for no apparent reason and suddenly she squatted and did a poo - right by a telegraph pole
she was clearly desperate - and lets say she was obviously not well from the looks of it!!

anyway - bugger - clearly I had no poo bags as they were not a "thing" in those days
but as she NEVET did that I had nothing else either
but we were only 100 yards or so from homeso I made a mental note of some numbers on the pole
and dashed home

Made sure she was OK in teh garden - grabbed a shovel and a bag and went back
weird thing - nothing there
I checked the numbers on the pole and they were what I remembered
I went round te nearby roads just in case I had got the wrong pole with similar numbers
nada
went all round twice - no poo and no similar pole numbers


so - must have been the poo fairies - no other explanation!!!

Bonnie has her favourite spots, too, depending on whether she wants to turn left or right at the end of the front path (her choice, usually.)

She's not fussy where she does a pee, though.

Garden was about to be gardened.. Just got stuff out of the sheds and commenced work when it started raining 🤷‍♂️

Cancelled the tip trip as I bent down to pick something before and felt dizzy . I have 3 big heavy bags of rubble to lift and put in the car so no way I am doing it today. I will book another appointment for next week.
