Mini stroke left me exhausted beyond comprehension for about 2 months.

I feel OK in myself, but I have this double vision, googling they say it could be a mini stroke
but you can do that with a lot of illness and come up with the wrong result.
I have the scan on Sunday, I wounder how long I'll have to wait for the results, it's worrying

I found that I got an initial assesemtn at the time
I suppose it is a case of "check if we need to keep him in"
in my case that said whatever it was it had gone and not left any damage

ACtually my full talk about it all was actually cocked up and I had to contact them after a year
but it SHOULD have been done within a month or two

so you need to keep an eye on it
I would suggest asking them at the time when the full results are likely to be ready and make a note to contact them

In my case the people in A&E and everything were certain it was s stroke based on symptoms
but it is likely to have been lack of iron and sodium and things like that
so you can;t tell

hope it goes OK

Just gone mad and bought myself a pair of MTB shorts for the summer

the web site - amazon - "L is your recommended size based on millions of customer orders."

What??

so millions of people order and based on that I need size L???
how does this make any sense??

I checked - size L would not have fitted me since I was about 14 - waist size 29.5
when I was walking the dog for 2 hours a day and playing badminton twice a week and sailing dinghies once or twice a week
and in my 20s
I still had a waist size of 34!!!!

Apparently Halford have done a survey and say that half of UK cyclist "admit" to not wearing a helmet due to issues such as bad hair

This is what I hate about headlines like this

firstly "admit" makes it sound like they know they are doing a very wrong thing

and "issues such as" - so it sounds like cyclist as vain self-centred and basically rather pathetic
but it says "such as" which means that other reasons were there but they just decided to use this one
maybe it was the biggest reason - or maybe no - we don;t know

and who knows what the survey was like
and who and how many people were included in it

it says survey - but they might have just surveyed the people in the office on a wet Friday afternoon

so basically - just a headline to gran attention

I would expect better from Halford - after all some of us go there!!!

Did they have an option for "Cycling isn't particularly dangerous, and helmets aren't particularly effective."?
