I don't often do this. I'm sat in Spinningfields, central Manchester enjoying an early Brunch. Small can of 0% Lucky Saint, smashed avocado with bacon and poached eggs followed by a flat white. I'm sat on the terrace watching the world go by..........most of the world is under 30......

A good meeting with my FA provided the reassurance I need for the future and that I can afford lunch out.

Good afternoon all.
The dog has been walked up to the market and back, apples, nectarines, mangoes and Narcotts, which are some kind of cross between an orange and and a clementine but very sweet and juicy were purchased.
A Couple of ales in the Mitre on the way back, and I have just cut the grass, so quite a productive day one way and another.

We are back from the posh hotel we went to for my wife's birthday

Her birthdays have a tendency of going wrong - a fair number of family "events" have cropped up on or just before it

SO this was special

Anyway - hotel - Peckforton Castle - was amazing - very very smart and impressive

lovely room and great bathroom and all that

let down by the quality of the food at dinner - my steak was god and well cooked- but teh fat on it was pretty much raw and uneatable

They have sent me a feedback form and they say a manager will ring so we can explain!

but overall we had a great time!!

Oh and when we got back it was a nice sunny day so I have mowed the lawn for the first time this year

and dug over all the flower beds and got rid of all the weeds - or what I THINK are weeds anyway

and then used an extension on the power washer to blast a ton of moss off the low roof at the front

basically it blasted the moss and muck everywhere - including all over me

When I got in my wife basically ordered me to go upstairs and take all my clothes off
That hasn't happened for a while!!!!

I've cut the grass three times already!

Planted onion and lettuce seeds and gave them a good watering. Just me toms to sort out now.

Front hardly needed doing - it was difficult to see where I had mowed at time!

back was longer - but it has only just recovered from when the back flags were put down so I wanted it to get some decent time to grow before cutting it

I will cut it lower in a week or two

but today was a good day for it because the green bin is collected tomorrow!

I have just enjoyed 90 minutes chilling out in the sun. My face has caught it in as much as it feel 'tight'.
I have just had an arrangement cancelled for tomorrow so I will enjoy a walk followed by lunch in the garden. God, I wish I was still working full time

Buggerasion.
Just got an email from British Airways. The flight we booked to go to Costa Rica in December has been cancelled.
The replacement flight is the following day, so I have now had to cancel one night in the hotel we had booked and will have to rearrange the transfer from the airport. I know it is 9 months away but it's just more hassle.
On the upside, the flight is now from Heathrow instead of Gatwick which is a bit easier to get to.
