Morning. A chilly start here but the morning is to be dry. All change later when the rain arrives by lunchtime and the wind picking up as we get the tail end of storm Dave.

I dont understand this storm Dave malarkey. OK, wonderful name of course but google tells me it arrives tonight and will last 24 hours.
So which is right ?

Fine at the minute here, and quite still, though menacingly cloudy. According to my (usually pretty accurate) weather app on my phone the rain doesn't start until just after dinner.

Do I risk a couple of hours on the bike or even do three or four hours fishing? Both not good scenarios should my app have it wrong and storm Dave start early!!

Rossendale Valley in Lancashire right on the west Yorkshire border. A quaint little town called Bacup!

Morning folks :okay: contemplating a dash over the hills and back along the A9 with storm dave gnashing at my heels...could be 'interesting'. Sent off for another bergamot 'Cambridge Scarlet', i do like Bergamot as do the bee's :okay:

Pleasant riverside trail walked.

I met a guy with a hand trailer with bollards, etc heading out to set up a trial for a local park run. They are testing it out today and hoping to start officially in 2 weeks time. Sadly, a few years too late for me as my running legs are almost gone with all the nerve damage. He did say lots of people walk all or most of it too and I should still give it a go.

Hey peeps..... have a look at next Tuesdays weather forecast. BBC show it reaching 18° and that's up here.....gawd knows what you suvveners will get.

My phone has been telling me for two or three days now that we're going to get a temp spike on Tuesday, hitting 17°C! Just checked again and Wednesday looks similar now. Great, two back to back days of pleasantness!

Mind you, my phone can be a right lying turd at times!
