Damned unpredictable weather here. It looked nice and sunny so I headed out for a wander and about 2 miles from home it went dark and a heavy sleet shower came on. I just had a fleece jacket on with no hood. I actually had brain freeze. 🥶

Of course it eased off a few hundred yards from home.
Hee hee! same here Mo, quite sunny when i left for my beach stroll...half way along i was into 20 mph freezing horizontal rain/sleet and snow  there were a load of soggy grimacing tourist with brollies being blown inside out!

Pleasant weather here in Hamtun. Just a few little spots of rain as MrsPete was hanging the washing on the whirlygig but not enough to worry about.
Alternating sun, cloud & gusty wind for most of the day so far.
👍

I'm not really that active on this cycling forum so I don't really know any of you that well. But I used to be a very active member on a fishkeeping forum some time back. I'm not now because i'm coming out of the hobby in 2027 so I'm winding my activity down so to speak.

I remember once we had a whole thread dedicated to members who'd just suddenly "vanished". We had the same, "has anyone heard from so and so" or "where's so and so, hasn't been on for ages, hope they're ok" type of posts.

Sometimes we never heard from "so and so" again, and of course you all fear the worse then in that situation. Rumours go around the forum as to what has happened but in truth no one knows for sure because such is forum life you very rarely get to meet other forum members in person or become close mates.

A "warning" sort of post would be nice, as in, "oh I'm getting a bit fed up of forum life, I'm laying low for a while now". That would be great to put other minds at rest, but if something, god forbid, should happen suddenly then of course no warning can be given.

In my fishkeeping instance I told the guys I was coming out of the hobby and that I'd only pop in once in a while to say hello and catch up via PM with some of the guys I was closest to. So they knew I was backing off.

In Dragos case, who knows? I hope the guy is ok and that he is just chilling. If he does eventually pop back in maybe you guys can give him a bit of stick for giving you all a scare!

What sort of fish do you keep ?

Plenty of weather here today.
Started off first thing quite sunny, then quickly turned dark again and we had heavy rain and a gusty breeze.
The last couple of hours have been nice and sunny so we have been out in the garden tidying up and I got the grass cut again.

Well, what to say.
The owners need to grow a pair and get rid. Along is a free agent and Stevie G has openly said he would happily take the assistants job.
Whatever payoff they give slot will be less than getting knocked out of the cha.pions league and not even qualifying for next year's.

You have my sympathies Dave.

Does my head in when the team we support goes off the rails.

Chelsea: having a mare of a season (again) just posted biggest ever EPL loss and a team populated with journeyman kids.

I used to watch every broadcast match but cba to watch them all these days.

American owners - hopeless!

And in today's news......
1. I have lost 7 ridge tiles, all shattered. That ridge has always given me problems. I have lost dozens of ridge tiles off it over the years. The last time the guy did a proper Rolls Royce job and tbf its lasted 5 years. It must be in some sort of vortex as its the one place to suffer and none of the other houses suffer.
2. I am just back from a very windy but dry 1.6 miles and am extremely pleased with that.

Good afternoon from sunny Saltburn by the Sea on the North Yorkshire coast. We've rented a huge Victorian townhouse for the Easter weekend and gathered all the family, three generations, 18 months to 71 years, together. Saltburn is a lovely little town, highly recommended. It's been great, an excellent family holiday weekend. Cold, windy walks, hail, rain, sun, parks, fun fairs......the works. It's been nonstop......either granddading or sleeping to get ready for more granddading!!! Nackered but happy.

Home tomorrow and then Rovers v the Baggies in a huge relegation six pointer. A win would be a great to complete the weekend.

A trip to the park was pleasant but I got knackered holding the saddle of the Frog bike while granddaughter built a bit of confidence.
Visited a friend and put up a modesty screen at the bottom of her garden where her next door neighbours new shed has a window that now overlooks the area where she likes to sunbathe. Tortoises are wide awake and granddaughter was giving them a scrub in a washing up bowl. 8-10 slowworms in residence under a small corrugated sheet and the blue tits have settled down as mrs blue tit is staying in the box while mr blue tit brings moss and food to her.
