Morning.
Nice and sunny albeit a tad breezy. Plan is washing out, haircut and bike ride.

Happy Birthday Mo, hope you have a good one.

A question (or several).
Why do you use Sainsburys ?

I dont shop on line as Aldi is handy and gives me a reason to actually do something.
My daughter has ASDA hone delivery and they have some things that Aldi doesn't so she gets them for me.

Welshie lives out in the sticks. Would eg Sainsburys deliver to her ?

I like their goods. I have tried Aldi and I found the stuff a bit hit and miss.
They probably would deliver to Welshie

Car gone for MOT and new pin number ordered which will take a few days.
I got back on the bus after dropping off the car and it was full of old people !
I will have to endure the same ordeal when I go and collect the car back.
I may be an OAP but don't regard myself as old.

Phew. Good morning. Dull and overcast and threatening rain. #3SP is with us, she's gone for a walk stand around and shuffle along with Nana.
In here I seem to have lost track of time, at least a day. Yesterday I thought it was Sunday.

Many small victories in the last couple of days. Pressing issues were addressed; allotment, household admin and finances, etc........importantly a new bell fitted to my gravel bike and the Cervelo chain fully stripped prior to waxing and waxed. These last two were tiny but ridiculously important to me.

For the first time in weeks I feel in control and able to tackle tasks when needed rather than constant firefighting.

Good. 👍

I do need to update my CC Challenge rides but fear I may have disqualified myself. 🤷‍♂️

Use ful thing has happened

Basically I had told the person I "work for" at AgeUK that I was out of action on the 7th as teh car it in for a cam belt change

which is expensive and complicated on this model
and so takes at least a day and has to be done my a main dealer - which is in bandit country (Warrington - strange peopel live there!!!)

anyway - she has asked if I can got to a retirment village to see a client on that day - in Warrington

so I have negotiated that she picks me up from the garage, we go to the retirement place, and she takes me home after!

which saves me pratting about getting back home

no idea how I get back to pick it up but at least it has saved me one trip!

"Strange people living in Warrington" ?? Warrington people are very friendly and families are very close eg theres a guy up the road that married his mother. Years later divorced and married one of the offspring. You cant get more friendly than that.

Just come back from the car repariers

They serviced a few weeks ago and since then the Tyre Deflation Warning light has been coming on every few days
this is probably the 4th or 5th time I have taken it back for then to investigate
To be fair they have been very good about it but as they replaced a tyre they do kinda have to work out what is wrong

anyway - a week ago they found a "hard reset" or the tyre system and tried that
and all was well until yesterday when it cam eon again

so took it back this morning and they have had another go
They had already taken all the tyres off - checked everything out - several times

this time they took the wheels off

and found a nail in the OTHER rear tyre

so exactly the same symptoms - different cause

at least it is fixed now
