@PaulSB back from hospital. I asked some questions and this my layman's understanding.
There are at least 15 types of glaucoma.
Some can be treated with drops. Some need drops every day or even twice a day.
My problem is exaggerated by both eyes having cataracts which are pressing on the lenses.... therefore drops are no use as they cant get between the lenses.
They are going to give me general anaesthetic and do both cataracts at the same time.
This will allow them to assess my glaucoma and decide which treatment is best.
I told her that if she could just ensure I keep my vision OK for another 20 years I will be very grateful.

The swallows nest in our porch is occupied, only shame is we disturb birds when going in and out. I try and use one of our back doors when possible but sometimes not feasible.
The shelf I put up a couple years ago as they originally built nest in corner and it was a bit precarious so I helped them out a bit.

How lovely is that.
Swallows seem to get along with human traffic ok. I used to photograph a nest with 4 chick's plus feeding parents......in the ladies** toilet at Holyhead country park and they were just not bothered.
**Sue would stand outside to warn lady visitors and give me time to come outside.

The pup is growing...

I must say, she's been very good so far.
A bit bitey with the teething, but her recall is getting pretty good and she will walk off the lead well. She's learned 'sit' and 'stay' and is working on 'lie down' now.
Not bad for 16 weeks old.

the !quick clean" things are worse than the extractions in some way!!!

Holiday booked. A week in Mallorca coming up from Thursday.

Out for a ride this morning to drop some stuff off at the charity shop then I had intended to go to the farm shop but, as our new dishwasher needs fitting, I ordered a few bits 'click & collect' from Screwfix.
Popped into Bwitched half way round for a hot choccy as they don't mind me using the drive-through on my bike..
OK to take the bike in Screwfix, too, rather than locking it up outside.
Didn't realise but an old friend I haven't seen for a few years works there now.
Hime via Boughton village where i exchanged a couple of books at tge telephone box library.
Quite warm by the time I got home!

Here's an interesting fact.
My daughter has had a message from her dentist to say she is due for a checkup. Before I tell you the cost bear in mind that she has just had 4 implants that cost  her the bank of Dad £7,000+.
The cost JUST FOR A CHECKUP is £70 !!!
When she queried it they said they have too many NHS patients and, without consulting her, have switched her to private.
She has googled it and apparently dentists can now do that without warning.
Yet another bloody rip off.

My daughter has had a message from her dentist to say she is due for a checkup. Before I tell you the cost bear in mind that she has just had 4 implants that cost  her the bank of Dad £7,000+.
The cost JUST FOR A CHECKUP is £70 !!!
When she queried it they said they have too many NHS patients and, without consulting her, have switched her to private.
She has google it and apparently dentists can now do that without warning.
Yet another bloody rip off.

I'm so glad I don't have any.. Though if I needed replacement dentures I'd have to sell the family silver to afford them!

My SiLs sister is a dental hygienist and the money she earns is staggering.

I've got an HC1 form and an NHS dentist so I don't have to pay.
