All my dentistry was done in the UK, dental practice & Canterbury hospital due to complications, except for one Wisdom tooth extraction done in the Middle East which was, to put it mildly, barbaric..
I still remember it 🤕😵

I went to the farm shop earlier to get eggs for myself and my daughter.
She wanted 12 medium
I wanted 6 large
When i got home I found the boxes weren't labelled M or L and I cannot see any difference. My SiL checked and he also cannot see any difference. I am annoyed as I dont know what I've paid the extra for.
I normally go to Aldi and get Extra Large which are excellent.
Farm shops can definitely be a rip off.

Here's an interesting fact.
My daughter has had a message from her dentist to say she is due for a checkup. Before I tell you the cost bear in mind that she has just had 4 implants that cost  her the bank of Dad £7,000+.
The cost JUST FOR A CHECKUP is £70 !!!
When she queried it they said they have too many NHS patients and, without consulting her, have switched her to private.
She has googled it and apparently dentists can now do that without warning.
Yet another bloody rip off.

What the actual ****!!!

There s news!!!

The grand-daughter has a boyfriend!!!!
she is 13 - first boyfriend and all that

Just found out
Her Mum has known that she is walking home with him quite often from school

she has asked if he can come round after school and her Mum said that was fine

so apparently he came round the other day
and they went up to her room

When her Dad finishes work ( 6 ish) he always rings his wife just to check if he needs to get anything on the way home
she mentioned the boyfriend

his reaction was
how long have they been up there
is the door close
how many times have you been up to check on them

anyway - he came straight home and went direct upstairs
did not pass go
didd not collect anything

well the door was certainly open then!!!!!

when he left he "subjected" the poor girl to something the Gestapo might have though was a bit over the top
(apparently)

sounds like a nice lad actually

her Mum's view of him was a bit different
her main thoughts are that the kid always gets up before her
but her room is always a tip and is full of empty pop bottle and wrapper off all sorts
and dirty washing and everything

the day he was due to come round the room was left pristine and all rubbish was in the bin and the washing was put on before she went to school
so as far as her Mum is concerned the lad can come round whenever he wants!!!!

when she came home from school this afternoon we were just leaving

naturally I said something embarrassing
but she smiled - she expects it from me

If I am likely to meet him anytime I must work out which embarrassing t-shirt to wear!!

I am pretty sure that mum knows what she is doing & has her daughter's best interest at heart.

Some dads can be over-bearingly protective of teenage daughters.

Our dentist, we are with Denplan by the way, changed practises about 3 years ago. We followed her, as she came to our town. OK, so far so good but she has now left and gone to Lavenham, about 15 miles from us. She did say that we could go there but it would`nt be with Denplan but private. Anyway, we are happy to stay where we are. Out of curiosity I thought that I`d look at the charges at Lavenham. I nearly choked on my Ribena. It almost makes the Denplan look cheap and that is not an easy thing to do !

I caught a woman in Sainsburys putting EX large eggs into a medium box
I told one of the girls what I saw she said "it's not worth the hassle reporting her"
I gave up...........

Eventually got out today for a ride but not after the better half left to go shopping taking the back door key and I had forgot to pump up the tyres  ;no problem thought I just use the mini air pump but yes the pump had no charge:rolleyes::rolleyes::banghead:.

So ended up scrabbling around trying the house and finally remembering where the spare keys were:thumbsup:.

Finally got out with the mini pump on charge with a battery bank.

Nice albeit breezy 80km including a quick stop to check what the bh's late dad's house was like ;was typically extended as much as possible and frankly not in a good way.

Got back for a coffee and toast and a quick sip done for me and the bike.

Just had supper (stir-fry and noodles) and now deciding wether to have wine or not

Mrs Tkk is back on " Jennifer " her purple brommie. She's been on the new G line three times, the first time she went on it she fell off as she hadn't done up the frame lock properly. With her dodgy knee it's a struggle to get on it hence the move back to the standard size brommie.
Daughter has just set up a private family WhatsApp group for my upcoming 77th birthday in a week or two. That means I have to think of somewhere to go 😕

Weigh them: small are 53gm or less, medium 53 - 63, large 63 - 73 and very large over 73.

I bought a pack of six mixed sizes in Lidl today for 99p, two were towards the top end of medium, the other 4 were large. Bargain I reckon!

I was up early, suddenly got tired and was back in bed by 7. I woke to loud music at 09.15 and cursed whoever was playing it that loud..... went into my lounge to find it was MY Alexa. Weird but my grandson had told his Alexa to play and somehow mine had picked up on it...... its never done that before.
Just had breckie of sausage, egg, hash brown, beans and toast.....very nice.
We had a similar experience a couple of years ago . Both our daughter and us have a smart speaker in our bedrooms .
Suddenly at 2pm when we were both fast asleep, ours started playing some very off key, discordant rock type music and we couldnt work out why at the time.
What we found out later was our daughter was having trouble sleeping so asked her smart speaker to play some white noise . Unfortunately our speaker also picked up the instruction and played music by White Noise a 1960s psychedelic experimental rock group . 😂😂😀
