I went to the farm shop earlier to get eggs for myself and my daughter.
She wanted 12 medium
I wanted 6 large
When i got home I found the boxes weren't labelled M or L and I cannot see any difference. My SiL checked and he also cannot see any difference. I am annoyed as I dont know what I've paid the extra for.
I normally go to Aldi and get Extra Large which are excellent.
Farm shops can definitely be a rip off.

Nipped into Costco today for a few bits…got their big box of eggs. One of them was HUGE!
Ought to get my callipers out and measure it: the others were a decent size, but it had to be gently coaxed out of the box 🤣

Going back 70ish years i recall the family in some cafe. We all had cups of tea. The sugar and salt were in bowls as against cellar/shakers.
I recall my Mum put a spoonful of salt in her tea. Spat it out and went and bought another one......only to do exactly the same thing again.
She got it right the 3rd time.

Good morning. I put the heating on at 5.45. Geez, it was cold. Wind howling and rain rattling against the windows. Have I missed summer? Is it November? I keep thinking to myself "I must get on with the allotment, nothing much planted." Then we get a morning like this or I go on a bike ride and get reminded of how cold it is. No point in planting things out as at best the plants don't grow, at worst they get a cold shock that it takes weeks to recover from. I filled some pots and seed trays with compost at the weekend and brought them down to the utility to room to warm up. I'm going to sow peas, lettuce, kale and Cavelo Nero today.

It's our u3a AGM this morning. As Treasurer I have to present the accounts, my fourth year, no one has come up with an awkward question.....................yet! Later I'll get to the gym as some exercise is needed.
