One positive of being retired, when you feel pretty yuk...yay, no need to think whether to go to work or not.
Felt pretty rubbish yesterday, seemed to get progressively worse through the day...not ill but just not right and tired.
Better today, shopping calls..

Well we had wine last night in the end a Romanian red from Waitrose and very nice it was too.

Got up to a damp garden after some over night rain, hopefully some more to come to top the pond and waterbutts up.

Have had breakfast and two coffees and we've put up a small coat rack which has been lying around for years as we are running out of hanging space (too many charity shop finds!).

Also got the 70's Anglepoise lamp out to see if it's worth putting back together, found some bolts for it and gave it a clean and removed the perished grommets so will go ahead; Anglepoise do re-wire kits so will get one of those after we've watched a YouTube vid tonight about restoring one just to make sure it's do-able.

Nothing much else planned so might give the Fairlight a check-over as the front tyre keeps going down.

Gusty and heavy showers here. I was hoping for a ride but thinking better of it, it can wait but I do get a bit fed up if I can`t. Washed and vacuumed the car this morning, that`s when I should have gone out on the bike. Now, what can I clean ?

I forgot to mention that my new driving licence arrived, so only a week. Glad all the hassle online was worth it, as per earlier posting.

The hailstones battering against the windows just permeated my consciousness during my snooze..
Very noisy & heavy, according to MrsPete!

Barnet,
We've had some really heavy showers, but there is a lovely blue sky at the moment. Still quite cool though so the heating has kicked in, Millie was shivering even though she had a fleecy coat on.
I have had a hospital appointment come through for the dermatology department, I have what is probably just be a wart on my head, the Doctor thinks so, but has referred me anyway in case it is a bit more suspicious. The appointment is for two weeks time under the two week referral scheme.
The NHS does work sometimes.

A strange day here. I woke up at 06.00. Fine, no probs. Suddenly went tired at 9 so went for a lie down. Zonked out and sort of woke at 11.30 !!.
I was due out at 12.00 so crawled in the shower and had a shave.
At the pub for 12.15. Fish, chips and peas, cabaret and bingo. Still knackered though.

I caught a woman in Sainsburys putting EX large eggs into a medium box
I told one of the girls what I saw she said "it's not worth the hassle reporting her"
I gave up...........

I have read about that

which is why I always check - I generally buy Large eggs
but I check them just in case someone has put a load of medium or small ones in and put the large ones in the other box

The world is full of people like that
