Well done. Had a great weeks cycling there but only did 40 miles(ish) per day.

Not much happened yesterday apart from a bit of seed sowing and a little bike tlc.

Sunny but cold start here and we have had a light rain on and off late afternoon and it's now grey and slightly damp.

Had the usual Saturday walk for shopping and mooching; had a lot of mooching as Oxfam was shut until 11:00 and we had some stuff to drop off.
Got a couple of (hopefully ) good books to add to the unread pile;

The pile to read is now at 14 but I reckon a few will be read on some hot summer days in the garden and during the winter.

Walk ended up being over 8km in the end and the new 'old' shoes were fine on the first try out.

Hope to get out on the Fairlight tomorrow at some point.

Yes, agreed. Absolutely loved it. We went to see The Proclaimers in Witton Park, Blackburn many years ago. They're playing in Blackburn in October.

We saw them in Warrington, brilliant.
I have some DVDs Sue and I enjoyed.....the Proclaimers is one of them.
I am just about ready to watch it now.

Good evening. Today started off sunny dry and a bit warmer, then finished off cold and wet. It's the middle of May........as everyone keeps saying. Enjoyed a good ride today blighted only by our cafe of choice; we got the politest f*** off I've had in a long time.

"Can we help you?"
"Yes, there's six of us please"
"You, can sit outside we're full"
"Those tables are empty"
"We're very busy, those are reserved"............presumably for people wearing proper clothes??????? That's Lottie's off our list.

We carried on over a couple more climbs and got good service at the Bowling Green in Rivington.

Electricity Northwest has been doing a lot of work locally. We had a planned outage from 9.00am to 4.00pm.
