Good morning from a soggy Dorset. Mrs Tkk was feeling chilly so we put the fire on last night 😮. Walking group this morning and consultation with knee specialist for Mrs Tkk this afternoon.
Daughter and her chap are heading down from Edinburgh on Thursday, on their way to France. Typically their Camper Van is playing up with the fridge and lights not working, they've changed fuses but still no joy. The company that did the conversion is no longer in business šŸ˜•

Yesterday was ā€œgo look at a few carsā€ day….ended up agreeing a deal to replace my aging & (mostly) trusty XC60 with a Jag FPace. Must finally make me properly old: first Jag 🤣

Hopeful it will do us proud, although we were slightly sad giving up on our old one: bought from new almost 12 years ago šŸ‘€
As our daughter put it ā€œaww, it had a good runā€ 🫣

Onwards & upwards…

Thanks. Rides of 70-80 miles aren't the norm for me. I'll do a few each year but most of my rides are sub 50 miles although they tend to be hilly.

I used to do a lot of nature photography and got to know 3 spots were i was virtually guaranteed to see a Kingfisher IF I was patient.
Herons hmm.......a magnificent evil looking bird. Saw waaaay too many of them when I had a fish pond.

Herons are a magnificent bird, but look very prehistoric when flying, more like a pteradactyl, which was not a bird but a flying reptile, if you follow my drift. šŸ¦–

A pleasant but heavy legged 8 mile wander done.

Rather a profitable walk. I nearly just did an out and back but changed my mind and carried on to do a loop that involves a short section of pavement beside the A85. In the usual grass and weeds growing at the side of the road I saw what I thought was just litter then realised it was a £20 note. Picked it up and walked a few more steps and there was another one. Not bad going a walk and coming back £40 richer!

Ah, so THATS where I lost those two Ā£20 notes šŸ˜‚
