Good day today .
Got to Cambridge for the beer festival and had a look at the various charity shops beforehand ;ended up getting a Carhartt shirt and Boardwalk Empire Blu-Ray boxset for the grand total of £12.00
On to the beer fest and consumed a few beers mostly porters until 3;00pm when it closed and a quick walk back via a Vintage clothing shop where I snagged a Oakland Raiders NFL t-shirt (they are now in Las Vegas) for £12.00 so a good haul and some nom beers (did miss out on Green Jack Baltic Trader that I wanted to try but it had just run-out when I went to get some

Final Pint of Science was very interesting tonight. Good presenters. Broadly about information/processing. Included an older fella on card indexing. Lookup “The Mundaneum”…..makes me want to visit Mons!
Even better: they had an online live quiz halfway through: around a dozen questions, had to answer as fast as we could. Around 40 in the room, 10 teams.
We called ourselves “Oldies”, ‘cos we were older than most in the room…..and showed them a clean pair of heels on the answers, getting the winners “Pint of Science “ glass 😜💪
Not to mention the delicious ⅔ pint of Stroopwafel ale…..a proper dessert stout, I reckon you’d have liked it, @Elybazza61 🍻

I didnt want to be up and about yet but here i am. Better sleep than the previous night but not good enough.
Another wet day in store here.

Its washing day for me so I will get the bedding done then probably get my dark wash in though I dont have a full load to do.

Needed a wizz so I was awake by 5am.
A cloudy day in prospect here.
This morning I'm going to clean the upstairs landing carpet and the go for a ride on the bike, possibly calling in at the Mitre on 6he way home for a pint or two of refreshment.

On the bright side the forecast for coming week is lovely at home so I'll continue holiday there 😄
Just for information, if anyone looking for a really nice quiet adult only hotel on Mallorca I can highly recommend the Prinsotel Mal Pas. Been superb here and of all the hotels we've stayed in the staff here been the best. Just fantastic service and so polite and helpful. Genuinely friendly.

Good morning folks, yesterday visited a couple of Motor Factors trying to locate fuses for daughter and her chaps Toyota Abarth motor home conversion. The company that did the conversion went out of business last year. I was working off photos that she sent. Nothing locally but I have some coming in the post today. Yesterday evening I was working through the PDF user manual and spotted something that looked relevant to the reported electrical faults, basically the leisure battery that runs the various appliances had done a shutdown, switching it off and on again ( has to be done through an app ) reset everything and all is well. Today will continue the full scale deep cleanse and rearrangement of stuff in the house prior to daughter's arrival. I did ask if the King might be paying a visit but that got short shrift...

Hazy sunshine this morning and have had a coffee, quick walk around the garden ,breakfast(scrambled eggs on crumpets) ,done the washing up and cleaned the cooker.
Now going to have a quick swab and shave and then out for some shopping etc.

Pete, I feel your pain. I once took matters in hand when Mrs Tkk was feeling a bit below par. Washing removed from machine, carried down the garden and pegged out on the whirlygig. I was just standing back admiring the symmetry of my efforts when I became aware of a presence just behind me. Mrs Tkk proceeded to rearrange all the items as apparently I'd " got it wrong " 🤔
