Morning folks :okay: had an early spin this morning, off at 8am [not Mo early ] my 30m circular route and whiz back along the A9. I often come across people walking there dogs on the single track, my approach tactic is to slow down at quite a distance and usually the dog informs the owner of my presence and they can then step to the side. Anyhow this mornings walker had a doberman who on seeing me went ballistic! straining at the leash and barking like a mad thing with the woman holding on for grim death...jeez i was thinking i hope that collar or lead doesnt break. I guess she was walking early to avoid any encounters but that dog needs some serious training/socialization and help with behavioural issues- leads and collars can and do break...

Just been for a walk but my legs weren't doing thier thing today. Got so far and sat for a rest on a bench adjacent to the kids playground. It was good to see the kids enjoying themselves but sadly I was the only adult there and worried I could be taken for a perv so only stayed a minute.
Its a sad world when you cant just watch kids enjoying themselves.

16 here with a nice breeze. Very pleasant. I would never cope with 30.
I’m kind of the same….I can do heat, but in short doses. Never do the “beach holiday” thing.

Which makes the chat we had with relatives down under this morning perhaps a little baffling…..we are planning a monster 10-week trip from early-Oct. Yes, there will be heat….but having never done Oz/NZ, we thought we would just go for it 🫣
First week or two with them, then off on our own. Much to plan

If it is "dry heat" you'll be fine, I was OK up to 35c and I was working as a Blacksmith
but when in Darwin with high humidity this was a killer when it got up to 95%
an 8 hour day was very hard work. Sydney you can get both depending on which way the wind is blowing.
