Presently 24°c, rising to 32° this afternoon..
Dog's been walked, 3 miles, while it's not too hot.
She'll be slobbing out in her favourite shady spot under the swing-seat for the rest of the day no doubt.. 👍

Good morning, up early to see daughter and her chap off to catch the Poole - Cherbourg ferry. It's the " Barfleur " and interestingly Mrs Tkk and I were on its first voyage as we headed to Cherbourg to take part in the Marathon back in '92 ( Poole & Cherbourg are Twinned ). We got free travel, and accommodation was provided by the locals ( we were put up in a particularly lavish home ). As part of our trip we were entertained with a meal and reception on the night before the race, and despite supping a few pints of Guinness, and the scorching heat the following day, I somehow managed to be the first Poole resident to cross the finish line resulting in me having to attend a reception with the Mayor where I was plied with food and Champagne 😁. The (Mrs Tkk to be at that time) also ran an excellent race, finishing well up the field despite having to make a pit stop in a working mens bar en route 😮.

Morning.
Another scorcher on the way.
DIY on the menu today, but in the shade outside I think as it's going to be roasting.
Had a spin yesterday afternoon around the local lanes and it was beautiful. My little legs tired though so couple days off riding which goes against the grain in such lovely weather but I need it after such a big week last week.

Warm here now but was able to get some planting done early before it gets properly hot ; will chill until later this afternoon when there should be enough shade to get some things in the ground.

Oh and yesterday had our first Broad Beans of the year
