Youngest returning from university and subsequent holiday this afternoon. Just need to find her a job now.

Theres a good scene in Yellowstone where one of the ranch hands grandpappy is murdered and the lad is all for going and shooting the bloke. Rip tells him to calm down, and says, "I'll show you how to fix a problem without creating a bigger problem." And he does, by staging a gas explosion and killing the geezer!

I watched first couple of seasons of Yellowstone and it was good. Then went ridiculously over the top and the Beth character incredibly annoying so I gave up. Sounds like spin off is even worse.

I find that with a lot of series. I started watching The Resident on Netflix which is a medical drama. First couple of seasons were quite good but it's getting more and more far fetched. I think they run out of ideas and the storylines just start to get a bit silly.

I watched first couple of seasons of Yellowstone and it was good. Then went ridiculously over the top and the Beth character incredibly annoying so I gave up. Sounds like spin off is even worse.

The sequel is equally good. There's some Beth, but it's pretty muted.

Of course, if you dropped out of Yellowstone you won't have seen the climactic scene where Jamie tries to murder Beth, but Rip arrives in time and intervenes and slaps Jamie about good and proper, giving Beth the opportunity to stab Jamie in the heart. Rip then gets down to work doing what he does best - disposing of bodies and destroying evidence - the dibble can tell something had gone down more than Beth was telling them, but without any evidence...

Also Kayce catches up with the people that had John dutton murdered, and deals with them in a manner suggested by Rainwater's bodyguard, Mo...

Some plot lines get tied up very entertainingly at the end. Considering the producers were dealt a bad hand with Costner leaving they did a very entertaining job of clearing up ther mess.

Ordered a stainless exhaust for the C70 yesterday. Received an email telling me the parcel was delayed, so would be delivered tomorrow. Then received an email telling it would be delivered today. So lord only knows when DHL plan to be bothered to deliver it. Ill just stay at home indefinitely and hope for the best.

When you mentioned a C70 , for a moment I forgot you had a Volvo and thought you had ordered an exhaust for one of these.

My first moped was a Mobylette, in fetching orange. A pal had a C50. Not quite a FS1E, but cool.

Feels like a lifetime away, but we did happen upon a fab museum in St. Quentin, France where the Motobecane Factory was (where my old bike was born).

Nah. It's hopelessly unrealistic even for a drama series, so many murders that seemingly go unnoticed, O'Reilly surely the most annoying character actress ever. Costner was good, he brought star power and credibility to it but now it's chasing the inevitable spiral of upstaging last weeks over the top episode which series get into in a desperate attempt to keep viewers engaged.

It's the Mafia on horseback - of course it's not realistic! It was never intended to be the US version of Country file

If it doesn't tug your rug then fair enough, but criticising it for not being something it was obviously never meant to be is odd. It's about as realistic as Dallas, Starskey and Hutch, or Dexter, because that's how it was made to be.

I'm criticising it for being rubbish! As I said it's not realistic EVEN for a drama series. Of course tv/movies are over the top exaggeration in the most part but some are engaging etc. Yellowstone started really well and then rapidly fell off a cliff.

Just my opinion, others are available.

It's a show about a rancher who routinely murders to get his own way, and who controls the local police to help him get away with it. I can't fathom why anyone would think such a show would be even remotely realistic, because that's not what even the nastiest real ranchers do. I like unrealistic murdery nonsense, because I get enough realistic evevery time I step out the front door. Mind you, I laugh my arse off at some of the supposedly "realistic" crime dramas out there - they're hilariously funny.

As aforementioned, if you just don't like it then absolutely fair play. Taste is a personal thing.
