Morning all . It’s a strange Sunday for me , no sailing . Normally at this time, I am about a hour into the race and deciding if I am having enough fun to carry on for 15mins until the end of the race or whether I would be better off finishing early and opening the bar. 😀
It’s all the fault of the Leamington half marathon ( and no I am not running in it 😂) . It’s just the reservoir is trapped within the circular route of the race and the roads are closed from 6am to 1pm ish .
It’s funny how something I often find SO frustrating, I miss SO much when I cannot do . 😀
Oh well I still have Wednesday evening sailing to look forward to this week .

Been out for a ride - airport and back
different to normal as apparently the Halton half marathon is today and a lot of roads are closed
including The Bridge
anyway - I have been intending to go that way for a while
and got a phot of my bike by the famous "Dungeon Lane" sign
made more famous by Paul McCartney's new album
Naturally - as you can see - some moron has nicked it
it was replaced and some has nicked the new one
The one of the other side is missing as well - of course
Nice ride though - especially as some long lengths were close but bikes etc were allowed down one side - which is nice and quiet

Feeling very satisfied as after about 5 days of working on it and reducing it to component parts I finally got my old strimmer working again.
Minimal cost, about £15 all in for a few parts and carb spray and it runs. Just did an hours strimming to test it and it passed with flying colours.
A trivial thing as I could easily just buy another as not expensive but there's something about fixing something yourself which is immensely pleasing.
I'm not a trained mechanic so lots of YouTube videos etc realy helped.

You should have asked for my advice! @Dirk will tell you, he relies on my advice for fixing his motorbikes etc.
