Mmmm rain due here most of the day.
Given we have dinner out & Jeff’s Pub Quiz this evening, maybe we will have a day off walking today. Forecast looks great for tomorrow and Saturday, we can have a couple of long days then 🤷‍♂️
Will discuss with the others later - I wake up far too early for them 🫣

Dogs walked.

Found a nearly new looking scaffold plank in the road. Picked it up to prevent anyone coming a cropper and I'll get Mrs D to keep an eye on the local FB groups in case someone reports theyve lost one. If no owner is identified in a reasonable time frame I'll add it to my stock of "useful bits of wood that I'll keep just in case but will actually never need unless I throw it away in which case ill need it the next day,"

Good morning from a grey Dorset. It's a tad chilly for the time of year and I've noticed that the heating has been coming on at random times throughout the day. Had a notification that the library book I reserved so I will pop up the road later. I have a passport document that needs witnessing, I will pop into the Pharmacy and see if they offer the service, else it's the Doctors surgery and see how long that I need to wait ( £35 for a signature )

I think this might be the coolest and wettest start to June I can remember for a long time.

I noticed the Oak trees were slow to get leaves this year so maybe the saying dad used to quote has some truth to it and we might get a late summer.................

"If the Oak is out before the Ash, the summer will end in splitter and splash. If the Ash is out before the Oak, the summer will end in fire and smoke"
