Well thats a b****r

as we are going away soon - and I cannot drink normal beer - it has to be gluten free
I ordered a pack of 8 from Amazon

We have had a long conversation with the company about my diet and they have been very helpful - we said I would take my own beer so they don;t have to bother trying to find something

They were supposed to arrive yesterday

I have just checked and the tracking says the last they heard of them was the early houts of Wednesday morning
and there is no expected date of delivery

I am sure there was a bit more on there yesterday - which has disappeared!!

anyway - what to do???

I could wait and hope

or I could ask for a refund and get some from Tesco - which is more expensive

Hmmm

Refund and Tesco.....its worth a few bob to relax and enjoy.
BTW......what would happen if you drank ordinary beer for the week ?

Err

lets just say Drago's undies would have competition

and my brain would sort of shut down - I forgot my wife's name and the names of the grandkids once
and not just a quick blip
I only got the middle one's name back an hour or so later
I was too scared to try remembering anything else

basically the wiggly bits in my intestines would curl up and not absorb nutrients properly/at all
and it would be days or week before that started to feel safe to come up again
in the meantime I would not be absorbing things like iron and sodium and vitamins

hence brain shuts down

I am quite mild short term - some people just spend the next few hours wondering whether to be kneeling in front of the loo or sitting on it for what happens next

I don;t get that for a while

which means I have no clue that anything is wrong and keep eating it

until a day or two later when - shoot happens (not swearing - technically accurate!!)

which is kinda worse

but anyway - not a good idea

but there are worse problems to have - as many on here know!

And are people born with that problem or it just developed over time ?

Is the OAP fried in batter or grilled? We need more information.

I would hope fried or it might not go with the chips..

As long as they take the zimmer out first!

And are people born with that problem or it just developed over time ?

It is genetic to some extent

but a lot of people are fine until they develop it later on
ages vary!

But being genetic it can be passed on

or you might never get it

Only treatment is a totally gluten free diet - not even a crumb
which also means that you can;t do chips in the same fryer as normally breaded stuff - which I have to check in restaurents

it is a pain - but doable
