Thanks. Save me checking. Pretty much as expected. I really haven’t followed any of it this time.

Better get out and enjoy the brief coolness of the morning before it gets warm again. The wet stuff is due to return overnight and to continue for several days. Only problem is, it will still be warm and humid which I find even worse.

Oh, sorry Mo. I hope I didn't spoil this for you. I imagined you would be watching.

I beg to differ. Down south, they are not poor, they are wealthy. Up North, we are the poor sods.

Too bloody true but I'll steer away from that one!

What a pampered nation we have become.
A little bit of heat, we close the schools.
A few snow flakes on the ground, we close the schools.
We were a lot tougher in my youth. Schools never closed. The weather did not dictate our education.

I remember walking to school in snow near the top of of my welly boots ..... Junior school so was about 10 yrs old.

Good morning. Weather? Yes, we have some. Remind me, no just tell me, going to bed at 00:45 is not good for Paul. Don't let me do it again. Tonight is our last night in the AirBnB so I'm having a bit of a tidy round and packing up my stuff. I hate the last minute rush whereas Mrs P will throw everything in her half of the suitcase at the last minute. When we set off on Sunday there was "discussion" over me loading a tower fan into the car....................there hasn't been much "discussion" about it since we arrived. We're going to a spa hotel near Cheddar Gorge for a couple of nights before driving home on Sunday

Today we plan to walk the Rodwell Trail, OK it's only 2½ miles, 5 in total, but it's very hot already. At the end is Chesil Beach where I hope to swim and Billy Winter's where I hope to eat. Tonight we're heading out to a fish restaurant in Weymouth.

I feel we all know this weather is no longer unusual. During the winter I'll be researching portable A/C units. I'll buy four, one for me and one each for my three sons. That's Christmas presents sorted. The Met Office forecasts 45⁰ may well be the norm for the north-west in 30 years. If I was buying property it would be a new build, fully insulated against heat and cold, solar panels, significant battery storage, heat pump, and A/C.......................plus a nuclear shelter and secure rooms

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Thank god this is the last horrible hot day here. Its 28 outside at the moment.

Inside I have all the doors and windows shut, the curtains closed and the portable AC unit going. It's 24 deg inside so bearable.

We will be cooking outside today so we don't add any heat to the house. We have an outdoor kitchen unit.

The breeze is more easterly here today so it's coming in the back of the house. I'm sat at the computer which is in a room at the back and have opened the window wide as I can keep an eye on Molly who is sleeping in her bed beside me. Must remember and shut it back down a bit when I move. She is such a scaredy cat I don't actually think she would venture outside, but I would never risk it after what happened to Tia

A early morning walk to meet a friend. Went to a small independent café in Upton for coffee and cake. About 10k in total, but my Garmin is on its last legs, wonder if Mo could send me one of her watches, I have heard that Rolex make a decent watch, and of course gold would avoid any potential skin allergies 😁
