A early morning walk to meet a friend. Went to a small independent café in Upton for coffee and cake. About 10k in total, but my Garmin is on its last legs, wonder if Mo could send me one of her watches, I have heard that Rolex make a decent watch, and of course gold would avoid any potential skin allergies 😁

I was wearing a Garmin Enduro 3 at the same time as my Apple Watch Ultra (one on each wrist) but about 2 weeks ago I got fed up wearing both so ditched the Garmin, at least for a while, and have just been using the Apple. I'm getting 2 days of battery life wearing it 24/7 and using the gps both days so it's more than enough unless I was going on a multi day adventure of some sorts.

The washing machine is playing up. The drum clean keeps coming on regardless of going through the sequence so I got in touch with the supplier and it could take up to 2 weeks before they send somebody round.
I was on the phone for 34 minutes to get it all sorted !

Reading about all the new housing built with minimal greenery so they can squeeze more properties in, and the effect on local temperatures reminded me of this photo.

Afternoon, not quite as hot as I thought it might have been but plenty warm enough still.

Have been to the shops and watered some of the garden and shade netting up again.

Tube patches didn't arrive yesterday but should be here today so may do some repairs later as post doesn't normally get around until 2:30 ish.

The developers have been quite generous with the trees and foliage here. We've each informally "adopted" a tree and during the dry spell I've been watering the young silver birch outside my gaff with a bucket of water from my garden butts.

6.4 mile wander done. It was straight uphill on rough terrain for the first mile hence the slow pace......at least that's my excuse. I was starting to break a sweat even at 6.30 but at least it's not as bad as you poor sods down south.

Am so jealous. Here in Coventry , I’ve just been out in the car and it’s saying 34 degrees and it’s saying 29 degrees in our lounge.

God knows what it’s like for those people ‘ down south . 😂😀
