Crikey.....my Facebook memory for today was when I was going to Ninewells to get my smashed collar bone plated. 12 years ago! I can hardly believe that.

It's nice here as well. Sunny with a nice breeze.

Braised beef today. We bought a Ninja slow cooker in the prime sale last week. Today was the fist time we are using it. Its quite good. An all in one pot cooker.

Been shopping, I had to ask one of the girls to open another check out
as there was a queue, she did as she was told, sorry I don't do self-check outs

I think it's a modern thing that takes time to get used to.
At one point decades ago, you did your shopping at the local butchers, bakers grocers, pharmacy etc.
Supermarkets have mostly killed off the high road shops.
Supermarkets have now stopped in the main deli counters, fish counters and meat counters. Now they are going over to self checkouts. It's a progression that really cannot stopped.
Petrol stations went this way decades ago, and there are now many with no attendants at all. Pay at the pump.
Like it or not, this is the way things are going/gone.

I refuse to use self service checkouts whenever possible - they take jobs.

It's only going that way because the sheeple let it.

Really like the automated shopping facilities, tbh.

Sainsbury's scan'n'go is excellent.

Pick up the little scanner on entry, scan items as you go, pop them straight into your bag. Finish shopping, go to automated checkouts, 'shoot' with your scanner, tap'n'go with your phone. Exit...

Simple and fast which is one of the things I want from the supermarket experience.
