Crikey.....my Facebook memory for today was when I was going to Ninewells to get my smashed collar bone plated. 12 years ago! I can hardly believe that.
Been shopping, I had to ask one of the girls to open another check out
as there was a queue, she did as she was told, sorry I don't do self-check outs
I like self check outs, I find them quicker than queuing.
I hated them at first but prefer them now.
My alarm is set for 02:00 for the next two days ☹️

I think it's a modern thing that takes time to get used to.
At one point decades ago, you did your shopping at the local butchers, bakers grocers, pharmacy etc.
Supermarkets have mostly killed off the high road shops.
Supermarkets have now stopped in the main deli counters, fish counters and meat counters. Now they are going over to self checkouts. It's a progression that really cannot stopped.
Petrol stations went this way decades ago, and there are now many with no attendants at all. Pay at the pump.
Like it or not, this is the way things are going/gone.
