While you blokes are sweating it was 3C when I left home for my Wednesday ride. Melbourne temperatures seldom get that low and we froze. After the coffee shop the sun broke through the cloud cover and the temperature rose to a balmy 8C!
Apparently there is a huge high over our area blocking everything. AFAIK 1045 hpa

Barnet,
My car tyre and wheel woes just keep on giving.
I have the new wheel, and then had to order a TPMS valve to fit to the sensor when they swap it over, when they take the old ones out they alwsys snap off at the base. So, the spare wheel is still on the car. The valve arrives today.
This morning I noticed a shiney thing on the nearside rear tyre, which on inspection just happens to be a screw through the tread. Fortunately it hasn't gone all the way through and the tyre is still pumped up.
Hopefully tomorrow the tyre place will get it all sorted along with a tracking check.
What else could possibly go wrong 🤔

Good morning from a sunny Dorset. Our Tuesday walking group turned into a bit of a saga yesterday. Delph woods is popular with dog walkers and several dog walking businesses tend to use it. One person was walking 8 dogs all off leads, with one particular dog charging about. This dog jumped up at one of the ladies who was walking with Mrs Tkk causing her to fall. She felt dizzy and sick, fortunately both Mrs tkk and another lady are retired nurses so they were able to look after her. Another lady who was passing offered to take her to A+E, Mrs Tkk accompanied her and ended up spending the afternoon at the hospital, getting home just in time for the TdF highlights.
Fractured wrist diagnosed, plaster cast fitted. The dog walker of course had f@ck&d off, one 80+ year-old lady left with her confidence shattered and the worst for wear. The area is popular with lots of people, supervised groups of toddlers from the local nursery like to explore the shallow streams and woodlands. Not sure what the answer is, the number of dog walking " businesses " using the woods has increased significantly over the months to the extent that they're a constant presence.
Anyway rant over, have a peaceful day everyone ☀️☕️😎

Isn't the legal limit for dog walkers 5 dogs?

Already hot, much better than it has been all week.

Had arranged my first hill walk in over a year (due to illness) for this coming Friday but temp will be peaking at 31°C - not for me so that is now cancelled.

Mrs SD 1 - is still in bed having had a bad stomach overnight. xx(

I have also been informed that she has secretly booked a 4 day surprise break for the week after next. :bravo:

Quiet day today, otherwise.

Even the tdf stage 5 looks like a bore-fest, same as yesterday. Thursday looks livelier with a proper mountain stage due.

Enjoy your day, everybody.

Got some parts to turn up on my lathe for some pullers I'm making.

I like a good puller

Have they no idea why this keeps happening? Nothing you can take at home to help avoid it happening again?

17 degrees already and I was getting too warm on my walk. I seem to be getting more heat intolerant the older I get. Not sure I'll be back out.

Yes Mo, they think they know and have given me so life changes to hopefully stop it happening again.

I was about to say that

are they looking at why your system decided to not take in the nutrients??

it could be that you need more supplements
or it could be that you innards just don;t absorb them for some reason

I have the latter problem due to Coeliac Disease and I reckon I am going to end up on monthly iron infusions

Which is better than a lot of alternatives!!

I have supplements ie magnesium and something else, 3 times a day. I am taking them regularly.
Oh, plus B6.
