We saw a Merc coupe recently, on a drive with a locking post to secure it. Its skirts can’t have been more than an inch from the ground and the estate was full of speed bumps. Not sure how he uses it

Good evening. An eventful time in Weymouth and an equally eventful journey home. We'd just left " Ronas " an excellent Turkish restaurant where we had enjoyed a lovely meal and some first class people watching. There was a cyclist pushing his bike down the pedestrianised street, with fully laden panniers. He seemed a bit confused and started to get undressed, dropping his trousers. We spoke with him but he was vague and out of it. My friend helped him hoist his trousers and zipped him up, I had a bottle of " Innocent " smoothie from a meal deal so cracked that open and started feeding him at which stage he started to become coherent. Gave him my water bottle and we stayed with him until he seemed fully recovered. He told us that he only lived down the road, had been shopping and was cycling home when he started feeling strange.
That incident over we got the train back to Poole when I noticed a voicemail message. Granddaughter's school saying mum hadn't collected her and was unreachable. Contacted Mrs Tkk as the train was going in and out of mobile coverage. Ended up staying on the train until Bournemouth and jumping in a taxi to the school. Arrived just in time to receive an apologetic text from daughter saying all was well and that she'd forgotten that there was no " After school club " that day, hence her late arrival. Waitrd for the next bus and an hour later I was finally home😮

Morning, not much happeing here, it's hot again at 36.9c
There has been talk about the BBC puting the licence fee on to council tax
so everybody has to pay, if you like it or not, just like schools, parks and libraries
well the latest is now, put it on your electric bill, I find that very odd........or is there something for them ?

I hope i don't get a ban for this heretical statement,but for me it is too hot and dangerous to cycle.Yesterday's plan was scuppered for a couple of reasons,one pal in Bridlington i needed some summer tights and my other mate had something to do,but had we all been free i would not have gone out.What is safe for you weather wise.

Of course there are limits to the temperature you feel comfortable in cycling in , but these are in general are personal limits .
For me cycling in the low 30 degrees is ok as long as I am moving , the problems start when I stop and start melting 😂.
Re cold temperatures the limit is decided only by the clothes you own. I hate the cold and cycled to and from work in all weathers for 30 years and I think the coldest I ever cycled in was -18 degrees. . Was it pleasurable, not particularly but owning the right clothes made it perfectly comfortable and doable..

Police have launched a murder inquiry after Ann Widdecombe was found covered in blood from a head wound at her Devon home.

Didn’t like the woman and her politics but no one deserves that. Looks like the police have her killer in custody, which is good news.

Looks like a Zverev vs Sinner final unless Djokovic finds something. At least the seeding has worked as it should. It will be number 1 and 2.

I’ve kind of lost interest so I might resume watching a series called Watson on Sky.

Evening all .
Havnt done a lot to day . Got up just gone 7am as it was saying 28 degrees in our bedroom . Decided to do some work at the sailing club and was back for 10.30am , stopping only to get more ice cream from Lidl 😂.
Then spend the rest of the day hiding in the shade .
I was hoping to do similar tomorrow, a croissant run ( drive in an air conditioned car 😂) to Lidl, then spend the day hiding in the shade again. But I’ve just been reminded by Mrs exlaser that we have a social event at the sailing club tomorrow afternoon.
