Back from the metropolis again. I spent as much money on petrol as I spent in Aldi. Then Morrisons. Good job I don't shop every week

Everything still seems to be shooting up in price. I don’t know where the government get their inflation figures from as it certainly doesn’t feel like what they are saying when you are shopping.

I briefly contemplated adding TNT sports to my Sky subscription but it’s even more expensive than I thought.£34 per month to add so I told them to stuff it. I enjoy my sports, but not that much!

Ride ridden.
37 miles in a warm strong wind. Good though and treated myself to a coffee mid ride

Yes. Totally agree. Every time I go shopping the prices have increased yet again

Lawns need cutting - a working day!

The Berberis hedge has gone berserk, too. Plus it is now interlaced with Brambles.

I think I will pay someone to do it and at the same time clear the one-time veggie patch that it hides. A detestable job.

Cooler, but mad wind, here.

Have a good one!

I recommend a Robot Lawnmower. I bought one about 4 months ago. It is superb, it just automatically cuts our three lawns, according to a schedule I set up. It takes about 1.5 - 2 hours for it to cut the 200 square metres, which is slower than my with a mower, but, since I can be getting on with some other task (like browsing this forum), it does not matter. I bought a brand called Mammotion, which doesn't need a guide wire.

Can they cope with a 30° slope with ill-defined borders? 🙂

I'm hot, it's gone up to 34.7 here, there is a slight breeze, but it's not helping much.
Quick lunch today sardines on toast, could be arsed to do any cooking.

That's hot. 26 here. I am sat on the patio, in the shade watching the birdies (mainly sparrows). A slight breeze makes it pleasant.
I had a big breakfast so lunch was yogurt and grapes.

My FA always stresses to me not to forget "retiree inflation" is usually higher than the official figures.

I'd agree with this. In my experience much of what I like to has increased in cost way beyond the official inflation rate.

I assume that when its completed one lawn you have to move it to the next one ie it won't go down the path to get to it ?

A couple of friends have robot mowers. They seem to work very well.

A young lady learner driver was taking her test and the instructor asked her "what do you do at a red light"?
She said "I normally check my emails and check my FaceBook group".
