Yesterday's morning's wander into Poole proved eventful. Glorious weather around the bay and as I approached the quay I took a wander down into what was once a small industrial yard but has now evolved into different usage, one of which is the new Barking Cat brewery and tap room🍺. They were getting ready for their inaugural opening today but one of the owners was kind enough to give me a quick tour. In chatting I mentioned that I had walked the six miles from home around the bay, at which point he said " you'll be needing a pint then " 😁. 10:30 in the morning seemed a bit early but not wishing to appear ungrateful I succumbed.

Dogs walked. It was a pleasant 10 celsiuses when I left the house but its already warming up.

Another sunny day in prospect.
I'm off to Lords cricket ground this afternoon for the women's and men's 100 matches. It's cricket, but not for the purists.

Off out in a munute with Mrs D as she has to open up one of her schools for an alarm engineer, then shes going to buy me brekkie.

Had brekkie and coffee and will be out shopping in an hour or so before it warms up but not much else planned today.

I'm off to Lords cricket ground this afternoon for the women's and men's 100 matches. It's cricket, but not for the purists.

I might see you on the goggles box then......I enjoy 100 games.

Good morning. It's a reasonable start but we're forecast for showers. The grass is dry at the moment, as soon as it's a neighbourly time, 9.15ish, I'll get the strimmer out, battery powered so quiet and mow after that. The mower is petrol and noisy! One of our neighbours has a large industrial leaf blower with a petrol engine...................he's been known to fire that up at 8.00am, far from neighbourly.

Slept well for the first time in a couple of weeks and feel very motivated as a result. Lots of stuff to get done, lets hope it does as it is the first time I've felt decent in days. Yeah!

Did I mention Bob Dylan? Yes, I did. He's coming to Blackpool in November. Guess who got a ticket? YES! ME! in the stalls. The Blackpool Opera House holds +/- 2500 so this is a very small an intimate venue. I've seen him once before there. It was like having the man in your front room. Magic. I do wonder about the VIP front row tickets though. A small fortune. When we went to see Dylan November '25 the stage was in complete darkness. There was nothing to see except a couple of shadows. It was a statement, you don't come to "see" Bob Dylan, you come to "listen" to Bob Dylan....................the VIP people may be a touch disappointed.

I saw him at the Liverpool Empire......must have been 1966ish**, just as he went electric.
A lot of fans bood and walked out as they wanted the old acoustic Dylan (i stayed and enjoyed it).
I still enjoy his music eg like a Rolling Stone.
Just checked, it was '65.

Somehow I have ended up in the café at B+Q. Almond croissant and a Mocha are being demolished, plant food, plant pot and a bundle of canes on the table in front of me. Just have to carry tham home 🤔

I was just about to have banana and custard for breakfast when my daughter popped in to say she is doing me a full English......rhat will set me up for a walk when the rain stops at 11ish.
