Ride ridden and holy moly it was hot! 34C in shade was what Wahoo told me. 38miles and only 2500ft climbing with a few decent lumps in there was enough today.

Just went out to bring the bin in and promptly decided I won’t be going back out. Obviously not as hot as down south, but way hotter than I feel comfortable in.

PaulSB did (i think) a 110 miler last week.
Still, 38 miles in this heat takes some doing.

Well I've found this fabled heat, even if I did have to go aboard to find it. Currently parked up in Maizy, France and it's hot dam hot Private Roosevelt hot. It's supposed to be even hotter the next two days before dropping back to around 30°C at the weekend. I was planning a little walk round the village but that's been put of for now, may head out around the time of the eclipse.

And that is in the north east(ish)...what will it be like around Monaco etc.
BTW....what does "Roosevelt hot" refer to? Its a new one on me.

just googled Monaco weather.....its "only" 30°......its hotter than that here!!

Off down the sailing club in a little while. The race doesn’t start until 7.15 but it will feel cooler sat in the shade by the water than it does in my lounge at the moment . It’s saying 27 degrees at the moment and still rising . 😀

The nice chap from Amazon woke me up with a parcel delivery as the front sliding door was open.
