Started young, and still going.

Barnet,
Good morning all.
I've been awake since around 3am.
The dog and the cats have been fed and medicated. Poppy and Harry have come in after yet another all nighter and Daisy has gone out.
It's only going to get up to 32⁰ today, so still pretty warm.
A slimed down escape committee meeting this afternoon, only 3 of us today. The other 3 are busy doing something else.
Enjoy your day everyone. :cuppa:

Good morning all.
I am sat here shivering as its a mere 17° with a maximum 23° later, I can handle that.
Nowt on today work wise as I did everything yesterday. Shin is still painful. I believe its improving but its still an enforced layoff from walking.
I am told I am attending a BBQ later so have to plan my meals accordingly.
Have a good day peeps.

Good morning. A pleasant 23⁰ is forecast. Most of today's plans have gone out of the window as we are on emergency childminding. #3 isn't allowed to go to nursery today as she had three "loose" nappies yesterday - it's a basic and fair rule. Her Dad has taken the day off to take #1 granddaughter for a day out with him. That's very important to them both. Paul has abandoned his cycling plans to help out. I haven't told them I had plans. It's just what grandparents do.

The heat! I know it's a tiny and irrelevant comparison. My tomato plants need four litres each a day to keep them alive at the moment; my cucumber 6 - 8 litres; my outdoor lettuce have simply died, the garlic crop was abysmal. Yes, it's only an old bloke with an allotment but every time I wander up there I'm reminded of the huge difficulties growers and farmers are facing. This is very real. Houses burning in the Midlands. So many refused to believe 30+ years ago.

It's very sad.
