Morning.
Misty! Can't see bottom of the garden as sea mist come in. Might be issue for the pile of washing that's on, be a shame after 2 months unbroken blistering sunshine have to hang washing indoors mid August.
Plans today are chores, go to mobile library to return/collect books, Tesco delivery, washing, new outdoor solar light due to arrive so I'll be installing that on wall above hot hub.

Morning all :hello:

Got to nip up the shops first thing, then I've got someone bringing an MZ ES250 round for me to have a look at. It's got a clutch problem and a broken kickstart spring. Should be a straight forward job.
Off out for lunch later. (Fish & chips, of course!)

MZs are notorious for clutch problems and kick-start springs are a continuous problem.
Ive lost count of the number of times I have given advice to people.
I know you are reasonably OKish with things like this so will only offer one serious piece of advice....... when putting the spring thingy in the whatsit just make sure its the right way up.
Feel free to ask if you get stuck.

Bonjour.
Mrs G fancies having a go at line dancing and she said they have a beginners class every Tuesday morning in the church hall just round the corner.
I guess I will have to give it a go although I am absolutely useless at dancing.

You are probably better than me

I have no sense of rhythm and have to concentrate fully on keeping my feet working in time
so have no brain power left to do anything else
and even that goes wrong!!!

I did however get several medals for ballroom dancing when I was in my early teens
no idea how I did that!

My wife was very happy yesterday

She offered our old patio set to her sister
and her sister's husband came round yesterday to pick it up
(without warning and expecting everything to be ready and me to help - but that is another - very long - story)

anyway - her sister has never been the sort that spends money on things she wants
and has been quite ill recently so has had even less money than normal
but loves her garden - but never gets to spend any time there as she doesn't have comfy chairs to sit in

so the idea of getting a decent patio set of comfy chairs was out of the question

but now she has some
and a big umbrella to provide shade
complete with solar lights under it which look lovely when switched on after dark
so she is really happy about it and she has a way of sitting outside in the decent weather rater than having to spend most days on the sofa inside when she is not well

So she has managed to do something to make her sister happy - without it looking like we are buying them something because we have more money
she is just passing on something we didn;t need anymore

so the two of them were sending WhatsApp messages to each other all yesterday evening!

Just walked up the village, the place is grid locked
as we have a major road closed.
It's hot again we now have 31.2c, we had a bit of a breeze earlier, but that has gone now

I've only seen it on YouTube and it is hard to think of anything worse to do (ok, that's a bit of an exaggeration) as I hate dancing - apart from a slow one with Mrs SD.

I think with line dancing you have to practice with your hands on your hips and a huge grin on your face - we will need at least one photo on here.
