Good morning folks. Decamped to the back bedroom while the main bedroom is being redecorated. Gave it a thorough clean, washed the skirting boards and vacuumed the ceiling and walls. Last minute indecision by Mrs Tkk saw me amble down to B+Q yesterday morning for ( another) sample pot ( Farrow and Ball this time ). That too was rejected so it's going to be a colour selected from the Tikkurila foldy out brochure, untried on the wall. 🤔

No balloons so far, but a couple of paragliders and a Skyline racing an Impreza.

Leaving for the cwr shown in about 15 mins.

I like your posts. I do wordle every day but trying to fathom the meaning of some of your posts is far more challenging eg "9° so a not chilly".

Morning all.
Another decent sleep.
Like Mo I enjoyed the athletics last night.
13° here and set to have a pleasant high of around 20°.
Another day that is being determined by my poorly shins but pleased to say they are much improved..... to the point that I 'MIGHT' chance a very short stroll......just not sure if that would be an unwise choice.

I am with WD. A chilly 6C this morning when I left for my Sunday ride. 9C is definitely not so chilly. Now 17 C at 4,30PM

Walk/run done in the rain. Now back, having breakfast and watching the marathons from the European Games.

It's Crieff Highland Games today so hope it brightens up for them. I've only ever went to them a couple of times many years ago but they do seem popular.

A few chores today, washing etc. Had a fun social ride yesterday with club although I had a front wheel puncture at 30mph on a downhill bend which was a bit twitchy!

I am about to try a VERY short stroll and am wearing shorts plus a midi thickness golfing jacket. Its still only 13° with showers now forecast soon.

but wife's bread is used up so I'll have to go to M&S to get some more

yes - I know - but it's complicated as I can;t eat proper bread - and Gluten Free bread is all crap and 3 times the price so she won;t eat it

I have no clue how people lived when shops closed on Sundays!!!

I tried Gluten free bread for a while and agree, it's dire and expensive. I made chapatis using Gram ( chickpea ) flour which is readily available in the supermarkets ( sometimes in the ethnic food section ). Easy to quickly knock up in a frying pan ( water, yogurt, salt and a sprinkle of mixed herbs to taste )

Short and a shirt - plus a jumper??

Not worn a sweater etc for literally months. I'm also wearing flip flops which again have been the go go footwear last few months. Temperature here currently 19C and probably get to low 20s later. Obviously way cooler than recently but it's still summer warm as far as I'm concerned.
Yesterdays ride I wore a mesh baselayer for first time for ages although by mid ride it wasn't needed.
