Working for Peugeot for over thirty years, we could lease cars if we wanted, the only condition was we had to give them back with less than 10,000 miles on the clock. As I was doing 12, 000+ miles a year back then I went though a lot of cars back then.
When I was made redundant in 2019 I left with a six month old 308 which I still have now . It now has over 80 thousand miles on it, I intended to change it last year but decided to kick that can down the road as I am not sure what to get . It’s made more difficult for me as I don’t have off road parking, so full electric doesn’t work of financially at this time . It doesn’t help that my first choices were the Ford Puma and the Peugeot 206 both have wet belt engines and I won’t touch them with a barge pole
Favourites at the moment are something smallish from the VW family or I might go really safe and boring and get a Toyota Corolla lol. At least if I get the Corolla I can do I little uber driving if I run short of money . 😂😂😀

At present, I have a Toyota Yaris self charging hybrid, 73 reg. I have absolutely no complaints, it was perfect for what we wanted in 2023, but, circumstances have changed.

Which one is for you ? Which one is for the rabbit ? And which one is for the cat ?

Just seen an article in The Metro abotu a teacher who has been banned for giving a female pupil a pen with a hidden camera
and telling her to "get changed before you use it" - specifically for doing her homework!!

So I was wondering how easily stuff like this is to get - NOT that I want any of course

I found a site that talks about all sorts of things like that
with the text saying that you can "act like a real secret agent"
and stuff that is clearly OK - like hidden security cameras

but a lot of the stuff is straight up pervert stuff

and the advertise that they deliver everting in plain packaging!!
which I recall was one of the things porn sites advertised for "those videos and magazines" in the old days

Oh - and I know because I got some once
I didn;t order them - they just arrived and the mags were very dodgy - and that is just based on the cover of the top ones

I had JUST qualified as a teacher - so didn;t even want to report it in case ......

I just burned them very thoroughly in the yard and crushed the ashes and put them in the bin!!

But I remember the packing looking very plain - and no name on it presumably so the "client" could not be identified!

Maybe I am lucky but "that sort of stuff" just doesn;t turn me on!

Well, I am ALMOST convinced about that parcel 😂

Piddling down in Warrington, home of Creamfields.
I only found out yesterday that Creamfields doesn't have actual musicians/singers.... its all famous (to the in crowd) DJs.
My daughter used to live near the site and loved it happening. They didnt go, she just loved the buzz around the place.
Her BiL is a DJ so he and his family go most years so my daughter would walk alongside the adjacent canal, have a couple of drinks with them then head back home.
AND IT AIN'T CHEAP......I believe its £200 a ticket.

Yup - I ride along that canal a lot

It's a lovely ride - never tried it when the festival is on

Poor driving today:

Police car (3 series Touring decked out in full lurid flouro colours).

We followed it up to a t-junction and no indicators used to turn left and then at a set of traffic lights with a cycle lane leading into a big rectangular green cycles zone; the driver blocked half the cycle lane and was 6' into the cycles zone whilst stationary.

Great stuff!
