Good morning. It's wet. That's shame as today's #1 plan was to get the second coat on the front and one side of the shed. I managed two coats on one side on Sunday. The finish is remarkably good. I'm happy to recommend this, at +/- £80 for 5 litres it isn't cheap, but it is damn good Protek Royal Exterior

Yesterday we took #1 and #3 small people to Blackpool Zoo. They loved it, walked for miles, stopped, looked, ran off, came back, looked again. #1 loves a play park and almost completely ignored all the equipment. An excellent day out. Looking at it from an adult view, we don't approve, many of the animals exhibited signs of stress or boredom. Not good but then in some instances a zoo might be a better option than extinction. Tricky one?

Today? Well then. Mrs P will be 70 on Sunday. From "I don't want to do anything" we have moved, in the space of about four days, to 36 guests plus at least four under 5. I'm desperately hoping next door but one doesn't bring her two as well. Feral doesn't cover it. She tries hard, an excellent Mum in so many ways but these two lads are just wild at 5 and 6!!!!!! We have a small cottage. If you could send some sunshine to our little bit of Lancashire this would help.

I will be running around like a proverbial blue arsed fly. The stuff I have to get.

Then there is the huge dilemma. Mrs P has specifically said, more than once, even to me, no gifts. I understand why. Time is short. This celebration is a bonus. But do I really follow her wishes? I'm thinking a great bouquet might be the answer?

Cant go wrong with flowers imo

Very grey and drizzly here this morning so will be an indoors day I think.

Yesterday had a couple of trips to the village as my prescription was ready when we got back the first time:rolleyes: ,then when we went back (after some chips off the mobile chippy) the pharmacy was closed for lunch so had to wile away half an hour in the library ;on the plus side got a pair of Gucci (look kosher ) loafers for £6.00, bit scruffy but have cleaned up ok. Not usually my sort of thing but they will make good slippers.

Started to sort stuff out to re-build the old 90's Trek and got the frame down to start so will carry on with that today (although don't have a shifter so can't finish it ) and do some more sorting/clearing out .

Bimble around the backstreets of Hamtun on Brommie in the drizzle while MrsPete's car was in for MOT.
Passed with no advisories 👍

Just booked our car's MOT for the 17th which is a bit annoying as its replacement is delayed in a port in Germany and was due here now.

Technically the MOT is due on the 20th so we are hoping our car is here before the 17th.

Life, always complicated!
