I'll probably get shot down in flames for posting on our local town page. Someone came across an injured deer at the side of the road and is blaming whatever driver hit it and didn't stop to help or call out a vet or something. Jeez, I am an animal lover but I've lived in the countryside long enough to know that deer and other wild animals get injured or sick all the time. As sad as it is, I don't feel it deserves calling out a vet or the SSPCA. Better just let nature take it's course or am I just being harsh?

Theres also a good change it initially legged it, and only flopped down at the roadside as it succumbed to its injuries.

Mrs D is a Bambi killer. For her 30th birthday I bought her a brand new Peugeot 308 GT, one of the first in the UK, and a week later she smacked into bambi on the M45 and did 4 glands worth of damage to her present,

Didn't get on with Beaumaris at all & Anglesey in general

Had a week there about 8 years ago and it didn't live up to the hype for us.

Friends of ours raved about it.

I can see why one could have this opinion. We've come to walk with friends, enjoy the craic, decent pub evening meal followed by some good malt and craic at our AirBnB.

One highlight for me has been the hedgerows. Just packed with a huge diversity of plants and presumably wildlife. Just goes to show what nature gives us when we don't f*** about with her. Cycling would be good.

We found the most wonderfully eclectic cafe today.

Equally there doesn't seem to be a lot to do on Anglesey so, yes, I get your view.

No, you're not Mo. This is just how life is and nature can be very, very harsh on occasions.

You've left the "brown bin" at the kerbside for emptying?

Wouldnt it be easier to simply flush it?

It's warm out 31c
just checked the car oil, that was OK, and all the other levels too
screen wash was low so filled that up, must get a new one as I've now run out
My new blender came, it goes round, fast and slow.

I used to have one but didnt use it enough so gave it to my daughter.
I miss the soups though as it heated as well as blended.

I did a lot of diving and snorkeling at Porth Daffarch. We also did a lot of coastal walks and bird watching over many years. All in all some great memories of Anglesey.

Stunning weather here today in Yorkshire hit 25C earlier, Fountains Abbey was absolutely stunning!

Fountains Abbey was always on our 'to do' list, sadly it never got ticked off.

Back from my delayed walk. I made sure it was 5 Km today.
It became very warm in the sun.

Ive just had the dates for my double cataract op etc.
As its a double and under GA they are doing it at a different hospital. That also goes for the pre op. However the measurements etc are done at the main hospital.
Not very reassuring in that different departments are responsible for different aspects.
However.
29th Sept for measurements
1st Oct is pre op (not sure what that involves.
10th Oct at 0700 is the actual op'.

I do agree with you on this . And certainly legally this is case with all wild animals including cats . Though as a ex cat owner I would always go the extra mile for cats .

Pre-op will likely be a bit of paperwork, check you over generally & put something (atropine, possibly) in your eye(s) to open the pupil ready for the op.
You should have a booklet telling you about this bit.
